About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher with BA in primary education from Bristol university. I also have an MSC in special education. I am currently a special needs teacher with 6 years experience as a teacher in special needs and mainstream schools. I am starting a role as an assistant headteacher in September at a mainstream school. I have extensive experience in making learning accessible, motivating and fun and differentiate lessons to appropriately stretch and challenge students.
I have in depth experience in teaching the core subjects (English, maths, and science) as well as the other foundation subjects. I have taught all ages in schools with extensive experience teaching key stage 1 and 2. I also have experience in teaching special needs children. My last class were children with diagnosis of autism and benefitted from a highly structured and organised curriculum. I have also previously worked as a teacher for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
I have been very recently DSB checked. I have a first aid qualification.
I am a friendly and approachable person. I am organised, engaging, positive and empathetic.
