Private Tutor in London: Wandsworth
About Me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a highly experienced and dedicated Slovak tutor and childcare professional with a Master’s degree in Pedagogy of Leisure Time (2006). I have been working in education for many years, supporting children of various ages, including those with additional and special educational needs (SEN).
Throughout my career, I have been recognised as enthusiastic, reliable, well-organised, and compassionate. I bring a calm, patient, and nurturing approach to my work, alongside a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a good sense of humour. I strive to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children feel valued and motivated.
I have a strong understanding of how to adapt learning to meet individual needs. I am particularly sensitive to each child’s emotional and developmental requirements and aim to build positive, trusting relationships. I believe every child can succeed with the right support, and I am committed to helping them feel confident, comfortable, and capable in their learning.
In addition to my professional experience, I am a mother to a young child, which further strengthens my understanding of early development, emotional wellbeing, and the importance of fostering independence from an early age.
I hold a current DBS certificate and am registered with the DBS Update Service. I am a non-smoker and hold a full UK driving licence.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
My Experience
My extensive experience includes roles as an after-school club leader in the Netherlands, SEN nanny/governess, nursery teacher, and support teacher at a preschool in Wimbledon. I have also worked as a private one-to-one tutor, ABA tutor, childcare advisor, and nursery manager in Wimbledon. Furthermore, I have provided individual support as a Learning Support Assistant at The Oratory School in London, working closely with children requiring tailored educational and emotional support.
I am an experienced one-to-one English and Maths educator, providing in-person tuition with over eight years of teaching and tutoring experience across nursery and private settings. I take a creative and engaging approach to learning, ensuring that children enjoy the process while building confidence and strong foundations in their education.
I support children from the age of 3+, helping them achieve a smooth transition from nursery to reception. I have significant experience working with children who require additional support, including those with learning difficulties, speech and language delays, concentration challenges, and those catching up following COVID-19 disruption.
Over the past 25 years, I have worked with children aged 0 to 16 in Slovakia, the Netherlands, and the UK. I am deeply passionate about my work and have consistently built strong, positive relationships with both families and the children in my care.
I have extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I adapt my approach to suit each individual child, using patience, structure, and encouragement to help them feel secure, motivated, and capable.
In addition, I am trained in supporting speech and language development and can incorporate strategies aligned with Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) programmes into my work, helping to support communication, sensory needs, and overall development.
I continuously develop my skills in response to the needs of the children I support. When working with children who experience learning or focus difficulties, or who have additional needs, I dedicate additional time and implement tailored strategies to ensure they receive the support necessary to achieve their full potential.
Should you require further details about my work or wish to speak with previous employers, I can provide impeccable references, both written and verbal.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. I would also be happy to provide my CV upon request.
