Welcome! I'm an Ofsted-registered childminder with 12 years of experience and 25 five-star references from families.

I offer a warm, welcoming home-from-home environment where children can learn, explore, play and grow in confidence.

With experience caring for babies from birth upwards, a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, paediatric first aid training and enhanced safeguarding training, I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their little ones are in caring, experienced hands.

A Home Full of Fun, Learning and Adventure

My home has a lovely conservatory dedicated to children's play and learning. It is filled with educational toys, books and activities, including small-world toys, Lego, dollhouses, cars and Playmobil. There is always something to encourage imagination, creativity and learning.

I believe children learn best through play, exploration and everyday experiences. Whether we are building, reading, role-playing or discovering something new, I love seeing children's confidence grow as they learn new skills.

Outdoor Fun and Little Green Fingers

We are fortunate to have a garden with grass, a patio and decking, providing plenty of opportunities for outdoor play.

The children enjoy sand play, balls, dolls, baby dolls, pushchairs and lots of opportunities to get outside.

We also love gardening! With our new greenhouse, we can grow plants from seed and watch them develop. The children can get involved with planting, watering, filling pots with soil and learning how to care for growing things.

In the summer, we enjoy water play and bring out the paddling pool for some extra fun, with appropriate supervision.

Discovering Nature and the World Around Us

Some of our most exciting experiences come from exploring nature.

We have enjoyed keeping fish, snails and shrimps, and watching tadpoles develop from spawn into frogs.

These experiences encourage curiosity, questions and a love of learning about the natural world.

I love creating opportunities for children to discover new things, get involved in hands-on activities and learn through real-life experiences.
Our Friendly Furry Friends

Our home is also shared with two beautiful cats and two small dogs.

They are friendly, calm members of our household. With appropriate supervision and safe boundaries, children can learn about animals, kindness and caring for living things.

Out and About Making Memories

We love getting out and about rather than spending every day indoors!

Our outings and activities include soft play, messy play, church groups, local parks and opportunities to meet other children.

I am also part of a network of childminders who support one another and arrange opportunities for the children to socialise and play together.

These experiences help children build confidence, develop friendships and discover the world beyond their home.

My qualifications and training include:

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
• Paediatric First Aid.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• GCSEs in English, Maths, Childcare, and Food and Nutrition.
• Completed training in Safeguarding Children.
• Certificates in Storytelling and Drama Leading.
• Four years' experience as a governor at a local school.

My qualifications and ongoing learning support my commitment to children's safety, wellbeing, education and development. My experience as a school governor also gave me valuable insight into children's education and the importance of working in partnership with families and educational professionals.

My Availability

CHILDMINDING SPACES AVAILABLE

I have childcare spaces available during the day for children from birth up to school age.

GOVERNMENT-FUNDED CHILDCARE

I can offer government-funded childcare for eligible children aged:

9 months and upwards

2 years old

3 and 4 years old

Eligible families may be entitled to 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare, depending on their circumstances.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

I am fully aware of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and use it to support each child's individual learning, development and progress.
