About Me
Hi my name is Sam, I live in Chapeltown, Sheffield with my husband and 2 children. I provide a caring, fun, home from home environment where children can enjoy a range of activities, creative and messy play experiences and free flow play. I have a fully enclosed garden and take children on regular outings to toddler groups, the local library, woodland, soft play areas, animal farms, parks and play areas. I am an approved provider and offer 15/30 hours a week free early learning sessions to all eligible children.
My Experience
I have first hand experience through raising my own 2 children aswell as experience caring for friends or family members children. My highest qualification is a level 4 in childcare, learning and development. I worked in several nurseries and out of school club settings for 10 years before becoming a childminder in 2015. I have a good knowledge of child development and how to progress children's learning through different activities based around their interests.

My little boy was only here for 3 weeks as my job was temp position, but it was the first care he had with a child minder and Sam helped him settle without me brilliantly.
His day was so full of enrichment, he'd come home with stories and pictures and it was hard to get him to leave at the end of the day!
Everything was detailed in a book for me to review- his meals, nappies, activities. Which I loved.
It was very warm weather too when he was with Sam and she always ensured he had his hat on and plenty of sun cream.
Would highly recommend this lady.

My 21 month old son stayed with Sam for 3 weeks while I had a temping job, 8.30-6. It was our first time apart using a childminder and I never expected him to be so settled and content without me, and I can only thank Sam for this.
He has had the best time ever with her and her family, every day he came home with stories of his fun filled day, new words he'd learnt, pictures and baking that he'd done. His daily activities, meals and nappies were logged in detail for me to read at the end of the day.
Sams two children are an absolute credit to her and her husband, and my son became very good friends with them and they had hours of fun together.
If I find more work in the Sheffield/barnsley area I will be straight back to Sam wanting her to look after my lad, I cannot recommend her enough! Fantastic xx
