Nanny in Guildford
My Summary
About Me
I am a warm, reliable, and experienced childcare professional with a genuine passion for supporting children and families. I was raised in Surrey and grew up with a nanny I absolutely adored, which inspired my own career in childcare and shaped the caring, attentive approach I bring to my work. I pride myself on being calm, patient, and nurturing, while also providing clear boundaries and structure so children feel safe, secure, and confident in my care.
I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable and reassured when leaving their children, and I take this responsibility very seriously. I enjoy building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents, and I aim to be a dependable and positive presence within the family home. I am friendly, professional, flexible, and always happy to adapt my approach to suit each child’s individual personality and needs.
My Experience
I have over 16 years’ experience working in childcare, having started babysitting in 2007 before moving into professional nannying. I have cared for children from newborns, including premature babies, through to 14 years old, and have worked across a wide range of roles. These include sole charge and shared-care nannying, babysitting, night nannying, newborn and maternity support, proxy parenting, weekend and travel nannying, special event care, emergency childcare, and respite and sleep support.
Alongside my childcare career, I have six years’ experience working in education, which I continue alongside nannying. This has strengthened my ability to support children with homework, learning development, and routines. I also have extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, both within school settings—working closely with SENCos and therapy teams—and in private homes. I am confident managing daily routines, emotional wellbeing, learning support, and developmental play, always creating a calm, nurturing, and structured environment.
My Qualifications
I studied Child Development for two years, covering foetal and infant development, mental and physical development, child wellbeing and welfare, separation anxiety, promoting physical activity, health and safety, and first aid for babies and toddlers. This training has given me a strong understanding of child development and allows me to provide age-appropriate, responsive care tailored to each stage of a child’s growth.
I hold pediatric first aid and CPR training, including allergy awareness and EpiPen training. I am OFSTED registered and have an up-to-date enhanced DBS check. I also hold a full, clean UK driving licence with my own car. I am a non-smoker, pet-friendly, and physically active, and I remain committed to maintaining high professional standards to ensure children are always cared for safely and confidently.

Lisa was our night nanny for two months and was an immense help and generally brilliant - very organised, timely and reliable. Most importantly, my babies loved their ‘night mummy’ :D We miss her and hope we will be able to see her again in the future for babysitting or ad hoc help x

Lisa was a night nanny for us looking after my twins. Lisa joined us when the babies were 3 months old. They were premature and had complex needs. Lisa came and literally saved my life. She brings with her years of experience, dedication and commitment. Lisa is friendly, organised, operates to the highest standards and has an overwhelming sense of calm. She can cope with challenging situations and adapts to the needs of the family. She is flexible and supports the families needs. Lisa supported my breastfeeding journey and adapted to the changing feeding requirements of both twins. Both twins suffered from reflux, stomach issues and allergies. Lisa was amazing and nothing fazed her even when both babies were awake. She did everything to give me as much sleep as possible and supported me during emergencies and illness. Lisa was wonderful with my babies and an amazing support to me. Experienced, reliable, kind, calm and the perfect nanny for any family.
