About Me
I am a registered childminder with 35 years childcare experience. I live with my husband and have 3 boys (men!) aged 21, 24 & 27. We also have a very friendly cockapoo called Milo. He has his own space, with his toys, food and drink, separately from the children but he does come out to play sometimes with close supervision.
I studied and qualified as an NNEB nursery nurse upon leaving school. I then began my career as a private nanny. Heartbroken at leaving my first family when they all went to school, I worked in a day nursery for 6 months before returning to nannying for many years until I had my own children. I then decided to work from home and registered as a childminder. After moving house and having my second son I took a break from childminding and had my third son. I then worked at Our Ladies Day nursery in Crowthorne, for 3 and a half years before going back to work as a full time childminder in 2012 when my youngest son started school.
I have been very lucky to work with lots of wonderful families along the way, and for that i am very grateful.
I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge over the years, and still enjoy learning new things from my little friends every day!
We live in Up Green, Eversley, in a rural location, not far from major commuter routes, backing on to fields with deer, cows and now sheep grazing. Bluebell woods are just a hop skip away. I have a large play-space inside, well stocked with a good selection of toys, books and crafts for all ages. We also have a large garden with plenty of toys and a large trampoline and a veggie patch for little green fingers.
We go on regular outings to local parks and woodland walks and make full use of my National Trust membership. This year I have taken out a term time pass to Wellington Country Park too. We also enjoy occasional toddler groups and library sessions with singing and stories. We meet up regularly with another childminder and her children for play dates, outings and themed activity days. This has come to be very helpful as we help each others families out when we take holidays.

My Experience
I am an NNEB qualified nursery nurse with 35 yrs experience of working with children. I provide a safe and fun environment that your child will feel comfortable and able to thrive in. In addition to fun and educational activities at home I also take the children on various outings, meeting up with friends, going to the local woods and playgrounds as well as outings further afield such as farm visits, wellington Country Park and National Trust parks.
I have experience and a good understanding of special diets as I am a Coeliac on a gluten free diet and my youngest son has various allergies including nut and eggs.
I have had experience of working with children with food allergies, Asthma and also additional needs, including ASD and ADHD.

Caroline has childminded my two boys for the last two years. My boys were 1 and 5 when they started at Caroline’s. They settled in well and love their time at her house. I would highly recommend Caroline to others looking for childcare. Caroline keeps me informed as to what my youngest gets up to each day and has really bonded well with him. We are only leaving Caroline’s care because we no longer require childcare for our children.

Caroline is an outstanding childminder and has looked after both of our children over the years. Caroline provides an excellent home-from-home service striking a balance between fairness and firmness. Our children have always been very happy within her care and continued to develop their skills through stimulated play in a welcoming and positive environment. Caroline is professional in her approach accompanied with a friendly, open manner and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childminder. She is amazing!

Caroline is a fantastic childminder and I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their child - at any age - she looked after my daughter for 3.5 years, between the ages of 1 and 4. Unfortunately for us my daughters school placement meant we had to finish with Caroline.
Caroline is very caring, considerate and supportive. Her home was a home away from home for my daughter and for the other children - this was very important to me as my daughter was only 1 when I had to go back to work. The setting is perfect for stimulating the children and allows them to take the lead on their learning regardless of their abilities - there is always something for any child at any stage of their development. Over the years I saw how Caroline continued to develop the space and create more and more opportunities for the children to explore as well as offering day trips out to explore new things and the places around us.
My daughter has a few allergies and Caroline dealt with it all brilliantly - she really reassured me that I had nothing to worry about when leaving her - Caroline cooked lovely homemade meals which were apparently very tasty!
My daughter thrived with Caroline and I couldn't be happier with the care she gave her. Caroline challenged my daughters learning by offering many opportunities to gain new experiences. She also supported my daughter brilliantly emotionally through many things from potty training to joining nursery and all of the new experiences that come with the next steps of her life. The bond my daughter has with Caroline was special - and still is - she really did help me to raise my daughter.
Caroline's communication was fantastic throughout. For example simple things like sending photos of my daughter to share what she has been up to that day or texting to say everything is fine after I had left when I my daughter went through a phase of crying at every drop off!
We also now have the amazing learning journey folder of my daughters time (which is ours to keep) which includes photos & notes about some of her experiences, things she said or did and it clearly documents details of her development as it was happening.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Caroline or come back if I was lucky enough to have more babies!

My son looks forward to going to Caroline’s, he loves spending time with her and has formed great friendships with other children too. At the same time as learning lots of new things theres always fun things to do at Caroline’s... whether it be playing in the garden, enjoying the extensive range of toys, or being creative with arts and crafts. Caroline plans great days out to various places, they have so much fun I wish I could go too! It’s like home from home and my son feels totally at ease. Meals are homemade and varied. A very kind, trusted and experienced lady that I can’t rate highly enough.

Caroline has been looking after my pre-school son for 2 years and my daughter has recently joined him with her too. They both absolutely adore Caroline and are very happy in her care. It's not unusual that they don't want to leave or ask to go back once we get home! The setting is lovely with so many toys, books and crafts to choose from. A really home from home, just with more fun things to do than I can offer at home! They get to do a wide range of activities with plenty of time outdoors in the fresh air, regularly walking and exploring in the woods. Caroline is great at teaching them useful skills (putting on shoes, coats etc) as well as doing appropriate educational activities for their age (counting, colours, writing practice etc). They get fed home made nutritious meals and I get a report via email at the end of each day with details of the day's activities, meals, sleep etc. often with some nice photos too, which is lovely and helps us to chat about their day in the evening. I really couldn't think of anyone I'd rather have look after my children, very highly recommended!

What can I say about caroline! She is a fabulous childminder and my daughter loves being at her beautiful home... it’s like home from home for her!
