Live Out Nanny Job in Islington
About Me
We are looking for a nanny for our two children, Imogen (aged 6) and Lydia (almost 4). We live in Tufnell Park and the girls both go to school/nursery full time in Hampstead, so ideally we’re looking for someone who can pick them both up from school at 3pm and look after them until 6pm (Mon, Weds & Friday) and 7pm (Tuesday & Thursday). However we know that many nannies need more hours in term time, so we would be open to discussing a minimum of hours in term time to make this work.
In the holidays (17 weeks a year) we would ideally be looking for full time care (9am-6pm/7pm), though we could be flexible about this and use holiday camps etc if someone actively wanted to work part time. We also have family who live close by, which is why we're open to being flexible about hours for the right person.
We are a relaxed family, looking for someone who can love and nurture our children – helping them with homework, organising fun activities and helping them find out what interests them. The girls get on very well, and are easy-going, independent and adventurous who love nothing more than scooting/biking to the local playground to climb trees.
We ideally are looking for someone caring, responsible and flexible for this role. We could also make this a four day a week role. Do let me know if this sounds of interest to you.

Melody has worked with us full time as our nanny since September 2021. At the time she started our two girls were 6 and 3. She is a wonderfully caring woman, who my daughters adore - and has helped them grow into kind, mature young girls. She is reliable and flexible. Often our jobs would take us away at short notice and she always made herself available and was invaluable at helping us navigate the juggle. More importantly she cares deeply for the children and is great at stimulating and supporting them, adapting her style as they’ve grown up. Melody has become part of the family and we will miss her terribly when she leaves at the end of September 2026 but my job and working hours have changed and with one child now at senior school we don’t need full time care. I would recommend her to another family wholeheartedly and am happy to give a further reference.
