About Me
I am currently on maternity leave from teaching but will not be returning for now as I wish to stay at home with my 8 month old baby boy. I am looking for employment as a part time nanny where I would be able to bring my son with me.
My Experience
I have a degree in teaching 3-7 years with QTS, my most recent employment was teaching in a special needs school with a reception/year 1 class. I have experience working in nurseries, schools and holiday clubs. I have also worked privately nannying and have a vast range of babysitting experience. I have experience and knowledge of caring for children aged 0-12 years. I am also currently training to be a breastfeeding peer support volunteer with the NHS. References available on request.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in teaching 3-7 years with QTS. I have completed my level 2 qualification in young people's childcare workforce and also have level 2 safeguarding certificates. I obtained a pediatric first aid qualification four years ago. I have recieved training and certificates for PECS, Makaton and intensive interaction.
My Availability
I am available all day Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Friday afternoons and every day for before/afterschool.

Kara babysat for us a couple of times and on one occasion helped at a Christmas party where there were multiple children! Given her work at the school, she was amazing at engaging the boys and playing with them - they are slight covid babies so very shy at first, but immediately went to Kara and felt very comfortable.
Would highly recommend.
Overall
We used Kara a number of times with our 1 yr old girl. She was very engaging with our daughter from the moment we met. Our child was happy to be left and we trusted she was in safe hands. No issues.

I can't recommend Kara highly enough for both nannying work and general baby sitting.
Kara worked as a nanny for our family and looked after our twin girls who were 13 months old at the time. Kara is a safe, calm and very responsible person who also knows how to have fun with babies and children. I would not hesitate in employing Kara again.
