About Me
We are a family of five - Charlotte turned 1yr at the end of October and our twins Jack and William turned 3yrs in July. My husband (mid-40s) is a lawyer and I (late-30s) work in finance. We live in a beautiful rural setting and enjoy a good mix of the outdoors and relaxing at home.
My Requirements
We are looking for maternity cover between mid-January and September 2023, whilst our lovely nanny Sam has a baby. This is predominantly to look after our 1yr old daughter, Charlotte, but also to give a hand with our twin boys when they are home from nursery (they attend five days a week 9-5pm during term time).
Hours: 9am to 5.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Salary: £12.50 per hour NET.
Car and insurance for use at work is provided.

Kara babysat for us a couple of times and on one occasion helped at a Christmas party where there were multiple children! Given her work at the school, she was amazing at engaging the boys and playing with them - they are slight covid babies so very shy at first, but immediately went to Kara and felt very comfortable.
Would highly recommend.
Overall
Sam looked after our daughter Charlotte from around 4/5 months and was a really important part of her early development. Sam brought her daughter to work with her (before she started nursery halfway through her time with us) and our daughter formed a really strong bond with her. It was never an issue or an intrusion for us, and Sam was very capable in managing both. In fact, I think in many ways it benefitted our daughter having another child around. Sam would also help with our 4yrs twin boys when they got back from nursery.
Sam made an effort to take Charlotte out everyday and organised lots of fun activities so that was always stimulated. She helped us with weaning onto solids and with nap times/routines. Sam is extremely experienced and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my baby with her. She is very calm and caring, which I think Charlotte was able to sense.
I would highly recommend Sam and please do feel free to get in touch if you would like any more details. The only reason Sam left us is because she went on maternity with her son and by the time she was ready to come back to us, Charlotte had moved onto full time nursery.

Our daughter Charlotte started four full days a week with Caz in February 2023 and she absolutely adores going to her. We feel extremely confident that she is being well looked after, and that Caz and the team are nurturing her physical and social development.
Caz keeps us up to date through the day on Charlotte’s hugely varied activities and is so in tune with all the kids - she knows how to respond when they’re a little under the weather or a bit off. The kids spend a lot of time outdoors, both in fields/woods and in the very child-safe garden of the house.
Caz has four kids of her own so there is very little that phases her! This is the first time we’d used a childminder and we didn’t know much about the service, but we honestly feel so lucky to have found Rugrats.
If any of you are considering sending your kids to Rugrats then I’d be really happy to provide a reference direct. Just get my details through Caz.
