About Me
Hello my name is Sarah I'm an experienced Ofsted registered childminder based in Orton Wistow Peterborough. I have 20 years childcare experience . I have been graded 'GOOD' in my last Ofsted inspection. I offer a caring home from home environment where learning is made fun.
Bit about me:
I am 40 years old and live with my husband David and our son's jacob (12) and charlie (10).
I have worked in childcare settings since leaving school. I have a level 3 childcare qualifications.
We have 2 cats poppy and spud.
My service:
I can provide childcare Tuesday to Thurday 8am to 5pm.
I am also happy to register for childcare vouchers.
I can provide spaces for the 2 year funding and 3 year funding both 15hours and 30 hours.
My setting:
I have a separate playroom which opens up to a large fully enclosed all weather garden garden I encourage lots of outdoor play in all weather's I have a free flow indoors and outdoors setting.
Most morning we enjoy activities in the local area like toddler groups , parks, soft play, meeting up with friends (other childminder), parks, farms etc
At home we enjoy activities like playdough, drawing, playing,story time, singing, free play both indoors and outdoors.
I have experience working with children with Autism and Adhd. I have experience in delivering attention autism bucket, suitable sensory activities to meet all sensory needs. I have experience of sensory circuits and applying deep pressure. I'm more than happy to dicuss your child's individual needs.
I also have experience and understanding with children with food allergies. My youngest son has coeliac disease. I'm happy to discuss your child's dietary needs.
In the cost of fees I provide a cold lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day.

NVQ level 2 in childcare and education
Diploma level 3 in childcare
Level 1 in home based childcare
First aid, food hygiene, child protection, Introduction to childminding practices and EYFS
Level 3 understanding autism

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
£5 per hour per child which includes a cold lunch, snacks, drinks and outings.

I have been left extremely disappointed. When myself and my daughter first met with Sarah, she came across very capable and professional, however when it got nearer to the the start date her communication with myself was pretty much non existent (I had to send various text messages and only received one reply which was a week after where Sarah confirmed that things were still ok to go ahead). Sarah did not even have the decency to contact me after this to inform me of any changes and I have still not heard from her since that message to this day (my daughter was supposed to start with her tomorrow). I have sent a number of messages requesting paper work and these have all been ignored.
This whole situation has left me totally in the dark and left me with no alternative but to make emergency alternative arrangements. I do not feel confident any more that Sarah could be relied upon to care for my child in a professional and caring way.

We had been using Sarah for 12-18 months but personal circumstances regrettably caused us to have to leave.
Sarah is a very friendly, warm and loving person and is always open about having a chat with any concerns or advice you may need.
She daily did other activities like going to the park, play areas, walks, mums and toddler groups, meeting with other Childminder’s to further my sons interactions with other children. I felt my son came on leaps and bounds in her setting.
Sarah is very flexible in her hours and communicates very well and in advance if there are any issues her end.
I would fully recommend Sarah and would have no hesitation in contacting her in the future if needing help again with childcare

Sarah is a wonderful childminder and makes u feel at ease. My daughter loves being at Sarah's and loves the different variety she gets there. she is always happy when I collect her, Sarah is very informative about her day and I like the fact that's Sarah does a diary for each day. Her two boys are fantastic with my daughter and they all play nicely together. I would recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a childminder in the area
