I understand that trusting someone new to care for your child can feel daunting, and it’s completely natural to want reassurance that they are safe, happy, and well cared for. During my time working in a nursery, I built lovely connections with the children and genuinely loved supporting their growth and development each day.
I chose to leave the nursery environment because I strongly believe every child deserves patience, kindness, and gentle care at all times. That experience encouraged me to move into more personal one-to-one childcare roles, where I could give children the attention, care, and nurturing environment they deserve.
Since then, I’ve worked as an Au Pair and babysitter, caring for children of different ages and needs, including a young boy on the Autism spectrum and a 2-year-old girl in her family home. These experiences have strengthened my confidence, patience, and ability to create a safe, loving, and comforting environment where both children and parents can feel completely at ease.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children aged 0–7 in nursery settings, creating safe, happy, and nurturing environments through outdoor play, sensory activities, singing, storytelling, and arts and crafts in line with the EYFS curriculum.
I also cared for a 2-year-old girl in her home for one year while her parents worked from home. I prepared meals, changed nappies, played with her indoors and in the garden, and kept her entertained with toys, games, and her favourite shows sometimes.
As an Au Pair, I cared for a 4–5-year-old boy on the Autism spectrum, supporting his daily routines including meals, school preparation, playtime, bath and bedtime routines, dressing, and toileting while prioritising his safety and well-being.
I also have experience caring for my younger siblings and I am DBS checked.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ in Health and Social Care and Level 2 in Neuroscience in Early Years.
