Abacus

Son had attended Abacus since he was 9 months old

My son is currently in the last room of Abacus and had attended for nearly 4 years. It is an excellent nursery and every member of staff there from the manager to the cooks and cleaners are fantastic. They have went above and beyond to help my son settle, develop and learn. He starts school in September and he will definitely miss Abacus.
I sent my son to this nursery on a friends recommendation and I would certainly do the same for anyone thinking about using abacus.

The best decision we have made!

Our little girl has been attending Abacus since she was 1 year old and she will continue to do so until she goes into school. We cannot praise this Nursery enough. We initially went for an unscheduled visit as this Nursery has an ‘open door’ policy. By this I mean you can go for a look around without having to make an appointment. The Nursery is however very secure! When we were guided around the Nursery we found the staff very welcoming and the children were engaging in all types of fun, educational activities in each room. The kitchen was extremely clean and the cook was also very welcoming. There are 2 cooks and they cook all the food from scratch. Our Daughter does have some additional needs in terms of mobility and when we informed the staff during our visit they already seemed very knowledgeable and were very interested in her condition. Now, 1 year on, our Daughter adores the staff, in particular her Key Workers whom she has very strong bonds with. She often talks about them at home and to family members and she gets excited going into Nursery. When collecting her from Nursery on a night, we are told exactly what she has ate during the day, the types of nappies she has had, when and for how long she slept and also what fun activities she has done. It is obvious when speaking to the staff they genuinely do care for her and they have lots of fun. One of the things I love most about this Nursery, is that although my little girl has so much fun, she learns an extreme amount whilst doing so, and this is down to the quick and imaginative thinking of the staff when playing with her. When I drop her off on a morning I do not feel I am simply dropping her off at Nursery so I can go to work, I feel like I am taking her to a place where she is going to have fun and learn and explore freely in the best way possible. If it was not for this Nursery and their staff, our little girl would not have achieved all she has today!

Wouldn't have my boys go anywhere else!

My two boys have been attending this nursery since they were 5months old and we love everything about it, from the fantastic staff to the various rooms...the girls who work there are like family now and wouldn't take my boys anywhere else.

Absolutely perfect!

My daughter has attended since she was 11 months old and she'll stay there until it's time to start school The staff are absolutely wonderful and my daughter adores them. You can tell that the staff genuinely care about each and every child in their care. My daughter comes home full of stories about the day's activities and can't wait until the next day she's due to attend. She's learned so much and is miles ahead of where she should be at her age and that's all down to the fabulous team at Abacus. The nursery is clean, bright, and inviting. Meals are healthy and tasty. Would absolutely recommend Abacus to any and all parents looking for a nursery in South Tyneside.

My little girl has been here since she was 9 months old and will be leaving in September when she goes to school, she has gone through every room in the nursery and each one has been excellent. Warm friendly atmosphere with lovely staff that have been supportive and understanding throughout and helped my little girl to achieve those big milestones (learning to walk/talk/potty train). I would definitely recommend this nursery to any parents looking for a nice learning environment for their child to be cared for.
