The only childminder I will ever use and recommend

I cannot put into words how grateful I am for the care Grayson has received over the years. He has been with Heathers childminding since he was just 6 weeks old, and from the very beginning she has treated him with so much love, patience, and understanding.

Heather has always taken the time to truly see Grayson for who he is, recognising and supporting his SEN needs with compassion, sensitivity, and professionalism. Her ability to adapt, nurture, and advocate for him has made such a positive difference to his development and confidence. Grayson has always felt safe, accepted, and valued in her care.

The environment she provides is warm, calm, and nurturing, and it is clear how much thought and effort goes into supporting each child as an individual. I have seen Grayson grow, learn, and thrive thanks to the consistency, reassurance, and genuine care he received and still receives every day.

Heather goes above and beyond everyday to care for each child and caters for each child. Grayson isn’t an easy child to look after as he has additional needs but she has been fantastic and I couldn’t have been the mother I am now without her love support and guidance.

Leaving your child with someone from such a young age is never easy, but I have always had complete trust and peace of mind knowing Grayson is not only cared for, but truly loved. I will always be thankful for the role Heather has played in Grayson’s life and can’t recommend her enough.

Homely setting

My little ones started going to Heather's before they started school, she has helped them grow into the children they are today.

She offers various activities inside and outdoors. Children are able to access different places with heather, which helps their development, various places include farms and beaches.

Children are offered a variety of foods , children also do activities like baking.

My children speak daily about Heather, they always look forward to visiting in the school holidays , she is such a lovely lady and treats children like her own.

I could write more but it would be pages full, as everything about Heather is so positive

More Than Childcare — A Second Home

My son has been with Heather since February 2023, and from the very beginning she has treated him as though he were part of her own family. He recently started school and still talks about her constantly — he misses her so much, which says everything about the care she provides.

Heather is an exceptional childminder. She offers a wonderful variety of trips and experiences, including visits to the beach, Sealife Centre, woods, parks, and local farms. She regularly attends toddler groups in the area and has great links with other childminders, which has helped my son build friendships with lots of other children.

She is incredibly creative and always plans themed crafts and activities for occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and more. She also tailors activities to each child’s interests — my son loves space, and she went out of her way to read space‑themed stories, find colouring books, and plan activities around his favourite topic.

Meals and snacks are always thoughtful and fun. She prepares lovely “picky plates” with fruit and veg, and even uses cookie cutters to make sandwiches in different shapes, which my son absolutely loved.

Heather also creates her own activities — for example, at Halloween she made little spider mazes using tweezers to help develop fine motor skills. Her imagination and effort shine through in everything she does.

On a personal level, Heather has gone above and beyond for us on several occasions, including helping with pick‑ups when my car wasn’t working. She is easy‑going, supportive, and genuinely makes life easier as a working parent. She is reliable, rarely takes annual leave, and is always committed to the children in her care.

I couldn’t recommend Heather highly enough. She has been a huge part of my son’s early years, and we are so grateful for everything she has done for him.

A true home from home provider

Heather has had my LO (2.5years old) since he was 6 months old, I was nervous about going back to work and finding the right setting that suited him was paramount. Heather has provided a happy and caring environment since day one. They are always out and about, beach visits, forest schools, sea life centres and so many more. Heather has given my LO the home from home care I wanted. I love that I get daily updates photos of my LO doing the activities, it’s nice to be able to look back at the day with my son. Highly recommend this provider to anyone who wants to feel their child is part of a home environment not just a child care setting.
