About Me

Hi, I’m Liv
I am am an outgoing individual, with a positive energy and great enthusiasm for what I do (working with children). I have been a qualified teacher for two years both Mainstream Primary and currently working within a special education Primary school. From my experience I have good understanding of child development and behaviour. I have over 8 years childminding experience of all ages for several different families. I have been brought up surrounded by a big extended family, this has made me patient, mature and caring. Through my broad experience I have confidence in my care as a childminder. My social skills are one of my strongest assets, I find it easy to communicate with a variety of different people and ages, important in this job role for building relationships with both children and parents. I thoroughly enjoy working with children. I am an active person, I enjoy spending time outdoors and keeping busy. I enjoy creating and going to fun activities with the children in my care, but I also see the importance in creating a relaxing, safe and supportive environment for children to thrive. I am fun, friendly and approachable but have good behaviour management which is fair and calm. I am respectful towards your home, the house rules and clean up after myself and the children. I enjoy cooking and I am a competent cook, often cooking for my family, myself and precious childcare families. I can also help with homework from my teaching qualifications. I consider myself incredibly reliable, I am punctual and I listen to what is asked of me, but then push myself to go beyond that. From working with families through schools I see the importance of always working as a team and good communication. Some of my favourite things I love to do outside of work is going to the gym, cooking and exploring new places.
