About Me
I enjoy arts and crafts and find that children like to express themselves during messy activities. I have two years experience in two different nursery settings and I also have 17 years experience taking care of younger siblings and parents friends children, I also regularly look after my friends children. I am very active and enjoy playing outdoors with the children as being outdoors is very important in a child's development. I am friendly and caring and will do everything I can to make each child feel safe and secure when being looked after by me. I always take the time to get to know each child and find out their likes and dislikes as it is important to be able to speak to the children about what they like and I can also create activities incorporating these likes in. It has always been a dream to work with children and hope I can help families with any care they require for their children.
My Experience
I have done work experience in John Galt primary school as a class room assistant where I helped the teachers with tasks and helped the children with any work.
I have done two placements with my college courses one in Ayrshire college campus nursery and the other in Castlepark nursery where I have worked with 0-3 and 3-5 ages.
I have also helped raised my 3 younger siblings and I help look after my nephews and niece age ranges 2-8. My youngest brother is autistic and while working in castlepark nursery I experienced a wide range of asn children.
My Qualifications
I have done intermediate 2, NC and I have sat almost the full year of my HNC childcare but due to personal reasons I had to drop out. I completed my intermediate 2 while I was at school and have done my other two courses at college.
My Availability
I am a support worker and work 36 hours a week normally over 3 days, my shifts are 8am-8pm, I get my rota 4 weeks in advance and would love to help out when I can
