About Me
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2011, at my last inspection my setting was graded as Outstanding in all areas. I run a small home from home service with a caring and nurturing environment. I enjoy watching the children in my care thrive and meeting their needs through play and encouragement. I like spending time outdoors and love doing craft activities with the children and visiting a local playgroup I help to run along with four other childminding friends. Between us we have a great group of children who are able to interact with each other in a safe environment learning valuable social skills and school readiness. I am an avid animal lover and enjoy sharing our pets to give children the opportunity to help care for animals and develop positive empathic relationships with them.
My Experience
I am a mother of two daughters and a son, two of which are at university and one currently in year 11, I have been a full time childminder for over ten years caring for several children from babies to supporting children transition into school. I have a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Young People in the Workforce and have completed many relevant childcare related courses during my career in areas such as speech and language and safe guarding. I am always keen to increase and enhance my knowledge through the on line learning resources I complete via the early years tracking system Kinderly that I regularly use in my setting.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 3 diploma in childcare along with all the current and required certificates in first aid, safeguarding, security CRB checks. I have training in basic sign language and speech and language skills. I have public liability insurance and am a member of the early years organisation PACEY.
My Availability
My setting operates on a term time only basis and is open for 39 weeks of the year Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm. I do a school drop and collection from Oak Farm primary school in Hillingdon.

My child has attended Sharon for a year and a half and she absolutely loves it. She does a range of different activities including library visits, attending playgroup and music and movement. Sharon is so friendly and my child runs into the house when we get there!

She is the life and sole of the setting, never a dull moment and everyone here and at playgroup loves her. I am glad we are keeping her for the nursery pick up next year.
I found it really stressful going back to work. I was worried that my little one wasn't ready to go into childcare and certainly not a nursery. Sharon really saved the day for us. She patiently talked us through everything and helped make the transition as smooth as possible, with timely messages and pictures, help and guidance and patience with my constant questions!
Our little one really has flourished in her care. From sitting, to crawling, to walking, to running! His speech is coming along well, he counts and most importantly he gets lots of interactions with other children, within her setting but also with the playgroup children, too.
We're so pleased we chose Sharon - she does a wonderful job with our boy and I wouldn't change a thing.

And neither would I change a thing. He is a much loved welcome addition to our home and you are great parents to work with.
All three of my children were looked after by Sharon over a period spanning 8 years. They all have very fond memories of the time they spent in her care. Sharon was invaluable in helping me juggle going back to work with childcare. She is very reliable, provides a stimulating but homely environment for the children and has good communication with parents. My children still enjoy going back to visit Sharon as she was such an important part of their younger years. I would 100% recommend her as a childminder.

Thank you for your kind words, it was lovely to see you all and you are welcome anytime. My kids and I also have great memories of your three being here, was it really 8 years! We had some great times and they were an absolute pleasure to care for.
My son has been at Sharon’s since his first birthday and my daughter joined a few years later, and 6 years later they are still absolutely loving their time with Sharon now doing before and after school. She and her family have been such an important part of our lives and my children love their time there. They were so prepared to start school when the time came thanks to Sharon and the wonderful start they got being in her setting.
