About Me
Hey, I’m Tina.
I live in Great Wyrley with my partner and our three children. I’m a Mom of five all together, aged between 13-30, so I’ve certainly kept myself busy over the years! I am Ofsted Registered and a member of The National Childminding Association.
I own a large cottage/converted barn where ‘Tina’s Childminding’ is operated from by myself and two additional qualified members of staff. Our ethos focuses around child-led learning and we use elements of The Curiosity Approach in setting which promotes curiosity, awe and wonder in Early Childhood. We are proud to have created an environment where children can tinker, explore, discover and have control over their own learning. We encourage children to make their own choices regarding play, which leads to enhanced confidence, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
We feel it is important for children to spend time exploring the great outdoors, this is not only good for their mental and physical well-being but provides them with new opportunities that an indoor childcare setting can’t fulfil. The large enclosed garden we have gives children a place to play and discover nature at their own pace. Our children also attend regular ‘Forest School’ sessions (no matter the weather!) at Cannock Chase and we make frequent trips to parks, farms and other fun outdoor activities.
Parents will always be kept informed of their child’s development and every child has their own Early Years Foundation Stage profile book that documents their individual milestones and learning goals. We also complete photo albums for every child, which tells the story of their time with us through pictures. Both of these are shared with parents at the end of every term or immediately upon request. On a daily basis, children take home activity diaries that informs parents of that days events. We also have a private online page (just for parents) that we update regularly with pictures and stories of our day to day activities and outings.
For the nursery aged children, we provide Home Learning Packs. This encourages children that are nearing school age, to get into a routine of doing a little work at home (as they would do in Reception) and provides them with a learning experience they can share with their parents.
We are incredibly proud to have been graded ‘OUTSTANDING IN ALL AREAS’ on our most recent Ofsted Inspection.
My Experience
• Qualified Nursery Nurse since 1984
• Experience working in various Residential Children’s Care Homes 1984-1990
• Experience on Special Care Baby Unit as a nursery nurse 1990-1993
• Registered Childminder since 1993
• Experience childminding various children over the years that have additional / special needs and disabilities
• Previous experience as an emergency short term foster career of children aged 0-16 with additional needs
My Qualifications
• All 3 staff members hold relevant qualifications
• All 3 staff members complete statutory / mandatory training as required
• All staff do monthly training on a variety of childcare topics including Safeguarding
• 5* food hygiene rated
• Insured to transport children via car
My Availability
• 7:00am-5:30pm Mon - Fri
• Drop offs to Glenthorne Primary School (AM only)
• Drop offs & Pick Ups to/from Cheslyn Hay Primary School (AM & PM)
• We do not collect or drop off children to/from home
• Local primary schools to our setting are: Thomas Moore, Moat Hall, Cheslyn Hay, Glenthorne and Landywood.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
• £6.00per hour
• am session £14 with school drop-off pm session with school drop-off £17 for children in full time education
• Parents can either provide a healthy lunch box or choose for meals to be provided by us. This is charged as follows:
- Breakfast £1.25 per meal
- Lunch/Dinner £2.00per meal
• Think2 funding available
• Universal funding for 3/4 year olds available
• No charges for Bank Holidays as we are closed
• No charges for parents who do not use us during Staffordshire School Holidays
• We do accept Tax Credits and Vouchers for payments

My son has been with Tina’s Childminding for the past two years, and they have been absolutely amazing. They have played such a huge role in shaping him into the kind, funny, adventurous little boy he is today.
He is so excited to start his new adventure at big school, but we’re incredibly sad that this chapter has come to an end.
A huge thank you to Auntie Tina, Auntie Carol, and Auntie Eloise for all the love, care, and support you’ve given him over the last two years. You’ve been such an important part of our journey, and we’ll always be grateful for everything you’ve done.

Tina, Carol and Eloise have looked after my 2 children over the past 7 years, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. I couldn’t have asked for better people to care for my children.
Both of my children have loved their time here and have learnt so much. I was so happy with the care they received that I chose to keep both of them here instead of moving them to nursery, as I knew they would do so much better.
They always go above and beyond, creating such a caring, supportive and fun environment. I love the daily diary, which lets me see everything they’ve been up to each day. They also create beautiful profile books filled with the children’s work and wonderful photo albums. I still look back through my oldest child’s profile, and they are memories I’ll treasure forever.
I will always be grateful for everything they’ve done for my family, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Tina and her amazing team have looked after both my daughters and I can't believe the time has come to bid you all a final goodbye. The team are well organised, provide amazing care, wonderful experiences both in and out of setting and Tina, Carol and Eloise have been treated like their own from day one. They have both grown in confidence and gained skills that will help their journey into school. We'll be forever grateful to you all. Thank you for everything xx

My son began at Tina's childminding in 2023 and she has seen him through until 2026 as he heads off to school. Tina and the team are fantastic at everything they do and have been an absolute lifeline to our family who do not have many connections in the area. They honoured a term time only contract which not many providers do and they offer a realistic price for childcare without being extortionate. This is a cost effective service for families who appreciate a homely environment for their little one.
Tina is an honest person who will always ensure your family circumstances are taken into account and the child is provided with everything they need. She is fun, hands on and engaging. Her home has firm boundaries which I fantastic as every little one needs this kind of guidance, especially as they get closer to school age. The setting offers a variety of healthy meal options, with at least three options per meal. Something to suit everyone!
My little boy struggles at times with communication and regulating his emotions. Tina and the team were happy and confident to enact advice from his speech and language therapist and other services. I was always reassured when he was in their care.
We are so sorry to have to leave as my little boy embarks on his next journey. We are so lucky to have taken the plunge and contacted her via childcare.

Finding Tina as our childminder has been one of the best decisions we've made for our family. From day one, it was clear that she provides an outstanding level of care, professionalism, and dedication. Alongside Carol and Eloise, they create such a warm, nurturing, and happy environment where children are genuinely loved, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
The range of activities is incredible, with something new and engaging every day that helps children learn through play, creativity, and exploration. It's wonderful to see how much thought and effort goes into planning experiences that support every stage of their development. We especially love the photo journal, which captures so many special moments, and the beautiful big learning book that documents all the children's achievements, milestones, and activities. These keepsakes are priceless and show just how much care goes into everything they do.
Communication is excellent. The daily record book is always completed with details about meals, naps, activities, and how the day has gone, giving us complete peace of mind and making us feel involved in our children's day.
The food is another highlight. Our children absolutely love mealtimes, and they're offered such a healthy, varied, and nutritious range of homemade meals and snacks. It's reassuring to know they are eating so well while trying lots of different foods.
Most importantly, Tina, Carol, and Eloise genuinely care about every child. They build wonderful relationships with the children and families, and it shows in how excited our children are to go each day. They come home happy, confident, full of stories, and always learning something new.
We couldn't recommend Tina highly enough. She truly is the best childminder around, and we feel incredibly lucky that our children have had such a positive, caring, and inspiring start with her and her fantastic team.

My son has recently finished at Tina’s Childminding to start school. I can’t recommend Tina, Carol and Eloise enough for anyone who is looking for childcare. The setting that Tina provides is outstanding. The indoor areas are spacious and have resources and activities to cover all areas of the EYFS curriculum. The outdoor area is incredible, my son loved spending lots of time exploring all the wonderful activities. I can’t quite believe the setting is within someone’s house. Tina, Carol and Eloise offered support and they always had advice and guidance with any issues we were having. Childcare was flexible and there was always an opportunity to ask for any extra time if needed.
Tina gathered photos of my child and also completed a profile book, full of notes, photographs and pictures my son had made. These are something I will certainly treasure to remember his time with Tina. Each day a daily diary is completed, so I knew exactly what my son had been up to. This also offered an opportunity for any important messages to be passed on.
I highly recommend Tina’s childminding, my son developed so much and has lots of confidence. He has developed play skills and he is confident to interact with others, this has allowed his transition into school to be a smooth one. If I had another child I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to send them to Tina’s childminding again.

Laura has been under the care of Tina, Carol and Eloise from the age of 2 until starting Reception, and we are beyond grateful for this wonderful journey. Throughout all these years, they have shown exceptional love, dedication and patience, creating an environment where Laura always felt safe, happy and encouraged. She went every day with a smile and came back full of joy, beautiful memories and new experiences – which for us as parents has been a precious gift and a great comfort.
It is truly amazing to see how Laura has grown, gained confidence and developed a love for learning, thanks to their continuous care and support. We could not have wished for more wonderful carers to accompany her in these early years. We will always remain deeply thankful for this special time and for the unconditional love they have given to Laura.

We have been with Tina and the team since Thomas turned 1 and now just started to go to full time school but continue to use Tina for wrap around. We can't thank them enough, Thomas has grown up to be so helpful to everyone and Tina and the team have got him school ready. I had my concern of Thomas starting school and him getting upset but each day he has gone in happy and loved every minute. He off course continues to love colouring and crafting which he absolutely adored at Tina's ( we have a huge box of all the works he did with the girls!) Another big thank you to them for the variety they gave him from doing activities in the setting to going out to the local garden centre and learning topics there to physical activities like diddi dance which he loved.
We can't thank you all enough and Thomas will continue loving coming for wrap around.

I cannot fault Tina and her team. The care and love that they provide on a daily basis is second to none.
Ted has been attending Tina's since he was 9 months old and has just left to start primary. The time has flown by and he has blossomed into such a wonderful little man. Tina, Carol and Eloise have supported him every step of the way, focusing on his gross motor skills when he needed a little extra support and liaising with us when we began to suspect Ted was showing signs of SEN.
Every day is full of fantastic activities ( and the artwork for seasonal occasions you'll treasure forever), they have the most varied diet you could ever imagine ( I'm still not sure what some of those dishes are! ) but above all else. Your tiny human will be loved wholly just as they are.
If I could have carried on taking Ted til he was 18 I would have. I can't thank the team enough.

Tina has been absolutely amazing over the past year with our little girl. Bella started just before she turned 1 and Tina has been so flexible with everything. Through some difficult times, Tina has been there to support what we need with our childcare and has been more than understanding. Bella loves going to Tina’s and absolutely adores Eloise! We love all of the crafts that Bella comes home with every week and loved her end of year work and photo album. Thank you all for taking care of Bella!
