Hannah W
Nanny in Stockport (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Hello! I am a warm, caring and experienced childcare professional with experience caring for children from newborn babies through to teenagers.
I have a PGCE from the University of Cambridge and have worked as both a teacher and a nanny. After teaching in mainstream schools, completing supply work, and undertaking a long-term placement in a special school, I decided that I wanted to nanny full-time, having worked as a nanny and babysitter part-time for around ten years.
I have had a full-time nanny role since 2024, and have not for a second regretted my decision!
My approach is rooted in gentle, respectful parenting, creating a calm, nurturing environment where children feel secure, valued and able to flourish. I also absolutely embrace the chaos of every day life with children and babies!
My experience includes proxy parenting, overnight babysitting and working as an overnight maternity nanny. I am confident caring for children of all ages, including multiples, and have experience with weaning (including baby-led weaning), potty training, school runs and supporting family routines. I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate and Paediatric First Aid qualification.
I have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of special educational needs, both in schools and through one-to-one care.
I love spending time outdoors and believe childhood should be full of adventure and exploration. Whether we're getting muddy, riding bikes, visiting parks and woodland, baking, reading stories or enjoying arts and crafts, I enjoy creating fun, enriching experiences that support children's development through play.
I currently work full-time but have availability for evening and weekend babysitting. I will also be looking for a part-time nanny position from September 2027.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you think I could be the right fit for your family!
