About Me
I have before and after school vacancies for Saltaire Primary school and Hirst Wood nursery and also school holiday vacancies .I am available between the hours of 07.00 am and 6.00 pm.
I have been a child minder for 25 years and I really enjoy my job.. I am married and have 2 sons a small dog named Polo . and 3 cats. I use the downstairs of my house for child minding and I have a down stairs toilet I have easy access to the garden where there is a decked area and a lawn for the children to play on and a long gated driveway for the children to ride the cars and bikes on. I do lots of fun things with the children in my care e.g. visit parks ,toddler groups . soft play centres ,library story and craft time ,visits to farms and pet shops etc. We also do lots of art and crafts ,baking , planting and lots of messy play. We do both free play and adult led play which encourages the children to learn as they play.
from January 2020 I am just child minding for children aged from 3 - 12 I will be offering before and after school care from Hirst wood nursery and children's centre and Saltaire Primary school and I will also be available for school holiday care. I will be available from 7,00am till 9.00 am and 3.00 pm till 6.00pm and 7.00 am till 6.00 pm during school holidays
I feel that I am a very caring person and that I do a good job of caring and educating the children in my care. I get lots of thank you cards and letters from the children's parents and I get regular visits from my ex child minding children some of them are now in their late 20s .I was delighted when one girl aged 15 asked if she could come back to my setting to do work experience with me .
My Experience
I have a n v q level 3 in continuing care from when I worked in a hospital and during my 22 years of child minding I have gained lots of valuable knowledge and experience in child care and child development., I also keep gaining knowledge through attending child care courses, I have an up to date first aid certificate..
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in continuing care And 31 years of childcare experience from bringing up my own 2 children and from child minding for over 60 children .
My Availability
I presently have before and after school places and SCHOOL HOLIDAY places. My hours are from 6.00 am till 6.00 pm . And I do wrap around care from Saltaire Primary school and Hirst wood nursery and children's centre.

- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
School holidays £4.00 per hour
Before school 7.00 am - 9.00 am £8.00 per child per session and 7.30 am - 9.00 am £5.00 per session
After school sessions 3.20 - 5.30 £8.00 per child per session and £10 .00 per session till 6.00pm

My children spent lots of time with Nicola before and after school and during the school holidays, and never wanted to come home .It made me feel better knowing my children were safe and having fun .we have known Nicola for a long time as she was recommended by a family member. Now grown up as are my 2 boys .I would not hesitate to recommend Nicola to anyone who is looking for a childminder. She is wonderfully kind, the children always love spending time with her ,and if you have to leave your children to go to work there is no one better .

Both my children have been with Nicola for full time placements and in wrap around care over the past 11 years. She has provided a happy and safe environment and I couldn't recommend her more. Nicola is extremely reliable and professional and it has always put my mind at rest to know my children are being looked after in such a warm and caring provision.
