About Me

Hi! My name is Michelle Railton and I am an Outstanding childminder. I have been working as a childminder since 1987.I live in a large 4-bedroom house in Gossops Green in Crawley. We have a large enclosed garden and a large play area designated for the children in the day. There is a large selection of outdoor toys including, cars, bikes, trikes, balls games, chalk board, water play area, activity table, growing area for plants and vegetables etc..

I have a wealth of experience working with children and use this to provide a high standard of care, according to the EYFS Framework. I strive to offer experiences, activities and opportunities that provide the best possible learning outcomes for each individual child in my care, moving them on from where they are and adapting my practice according to how they choose to learn and achieve.
Alongside this, I make it a priority to communicate with parents, through daily discussion, diaries and shared planning. This ensures every child feels loved, valued, safe and secure- which is the best possible environment to have fun and promote effective learning and development.
We do lots of lovely activities, planned round a half termly theme, which cover the seven learning areas of the EYFS. These include art and craft activities, painting, sticking, cooking, visits to local parks, the library, singing and rhymes, musical instruments and movement, dance, imaginary play, sand, water, etc... We also visit a local playgroup and soft play area on a weekly basis. Your child will also have the opportunity to socialise in a smaller group of children of varying ages, building on their confidence, social skills and communication and language.

My setting is very flexible and full of fun, offering children a wide variety of play and learning opportunities. I received a good strong grade from Ofsted in all areas. Throughout my career I have brought up generations of families due to Parents continuing my services for all their children and extensions to cousins of sibling groups.
