About Me
Hi, my name is Lorena I am a mother of two lovely boys aged 14 and 17. I have been working with families and children for 10 years.
I am Brazilian and bring with me the Latino warmth. Being from South America, I love reading children's stories in English, Portuguese and Spanish. On that note I find important to celebrate all different cultural festivities.
I have put a lot of love and energy into my Childminding setting to provide support, safety and a stimulating environment (age-appropriate). I want to make sure children feel happy, relaxed and comfortable the entire time.
We have a lovely garden.
The Surrounding area, we can find great local library (which has playgroups), museums, playgrounds and many beautiful parks and gardens! The closest stations are Ladywell and Crofton Park. We go out always when the weather allows us to do so.
Is important to say that I provide fresh and homemade Vegan and Vegetarian food for children (I love to cook, by the way!).
PARENTING STYLE
I am passionate about child development, and I am implementing Montessori method elements to promote independence and confidence. Here we play, learn, develop and explore.
I am keen to encourage positive relationships, appreciate nature and respect others.
ABOUT THE FEE
The fee includes three meals, snacks, refreshments and milk formula.
We are sugar free and no screen setting.

Can’t speak highly enough about Lorena and her team. From the settles to my son’s last day the care, attention and genuine love for my child throughout was incredible. Understanding, patient, professional, knowledgeable, supportive.. the list could go on and on. From the vegetarian meals to the educational day trips. The outside play. The management. The support to both myself and my son was beyond expectation. Have genuinely seen my son go from very reserved and clingy to me to happy, confident, socially aware and educationally developed in the space of a few months with Lolo day care. I only wish he could stay longer!

Our son went to LoLo’s when he was 8 months old. He has been consistently nurtured, loved, and entertained. He has grown up there and it’s become a second home. We also hugely appreciate that Lorena has kept him for evenings when we’ve needed it and even given him bath and bed time at her house. He loves her and all the staff and we’re extremely grateful we found them. Highly highly recommend.

Lolo’s setting is wonderful, full of love, joy and good times! My daughter is always so happy to arrive there in the morning and has such an adventure filled day, travelling to exciting places whether it be a gallery or park and always eating lots of good food. I appreciate the daily updates with all the cute pics!

My daughter has been attending Lolo’s Day Care for almost a year now, and we have been so happy with the care provided by Lorena and her lovely team!
The settling-in period can be difficult for any family, but everyone at Lolo’s Daycare made us feel reassured throughout the whole process. Our daughter was so well cared for from the beginning, and since then we can confidently say that she has thrived.
As Lorena, I am also from Brazil, and it was very important for us to find someone who could celebrate and embrace our culture. We have especially appreciated how she has spoken Portuguese with our daughter and helped her maintain that connection to her Brazilian roots.
The setting is fun and engaging, with plenty of activities, outings and outdoor play. Now that the weather is warmer, the children make great use of the lovely garden and enjoy lots of different activities.
They also use an app to keep parents updated throughout the day with photos and information about what the children have been doing. We really appreciate this, as it’s lovely to see how happy our daughter is and get a glimpse into her day.
We are so grateful to the team for creating such a warm, caring and nurturing environment, and we would highly recommend Lolo’s Day Care to other families.

Our daughter joined Lolo Day Care when she was ten months old and spent two wonderful years there. It’s never easy leaving your child in someone else’s care for the first time, but from the very beginning, the warmth and kindness of Lolo and her team gave us complete trust and comfort.
The setting has such a calm, nurturing atmosphere and beautifully embraces the Montessori approach. They fill the days with creativity and fun — from sensory play to a wide variety of local outings that broadened her world in the most wonderful ways.
They supported her development more than we could have hoped for, helping her grow in confidence and curiosity.
We’ll never forget the love and attention they gave. They even recorded and sent us videos of her first steps — memories we’ll cherish forever.
Lolo and her team truly made our daughter the happy, thriving little person she is today, and we couldn’t recommend Lolo Day Care more highly.

I could not speak more highly of Lolo’s daycare. My daughter was extremely attached to me as a baby so I was worried about her starting childcare. Lorena was so supportive during the settling process and tailored it to suit my daughter. Her and her incredible staff were so loving towards her and communicated so well with my partner and I. Since settling there, she has thrived, both socially, in her speech and in her learning. She is so excited to go in every morning! They give the children such wonderful experiences - trips out, enriching play in the setting and garden and excellent food. We are eternally grateful.

I wanted to express how incredibly happy we are with the care our daughter receives at Lolo’s daycare. She absolutely loves going and always talks about her friends and what they get up to.
My daughter loves the healthy vegetarian food provided and the wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. It’s fantastic that she has access to a lovely big garden, and can do trips to places like the Horniman Museum, as well as the various craft activities they do.
Before coming to Lolo’s, my daughter was in a different nursery for a while, but after her epilepsy diagnosis, we decided to look for a calmer environment closer to home. Lolo went above and beyond to accommodate her specific needs, including undertaking the necessary medical training. We are so grateful to have found her, and it gives us immense peace of mind knowing our daughter is safe and well-cared for in such a warm and welcoming setting. She settled in remarkably quickly, which speaks volumes about the nurturing atmosphere at Lolo’s.

From the moment we stepped into Lolo’s we knew our daughter was in kind and loving hands.
Lolo, Indie and the team genuinely love and care for each child.
The environment is fun and creative, the food is amazing (all healthy vegetarian meals).
Our daughters development has come on leaps and bounds and that’s definitely hugely down to the team at Lolo’s.

Our daughter has been at Lolos for 18 months now and she absolutely loves it, as do we! No day is the same with so much thought and effort going into each new activity both inside and outside, which has definitely supported our child's development during her time there!
The setting is lovely with so much for the children to experience and they are always encouraged to get outside when they can and make use of the lovely garden.
The food offered is also fab and super healthy and has certainly helped widen our daughters taste buds.
Lolos made the transition of placing our daughter into childcare when we went back to work a much easier one and we would highly recommend anyone looking for a childminder within the area!

We put a lot of thought and care into creating diverse and engaging activities, and it’s wonderful to see how they’ve supported her development. Our 15 month old son has been in Lolo and Gaby’s care for the last 4 months & I couldn’t be happier. We originally registered to send him to nursery & wanted a childminder in place as a back up but they quickly became our first choice after meeting them both.
It’s so lovely to know he is looked after so well, eating homemade healthy food, spending time outdoors, socialising with the other children with lots of play time and cuddles throughout the day. He’s very happy to go there and loves spending time with them.
Lolo has babysat for us a few times which is a real bonus, as our son is always so excited to see her!
Our son was going through a phase of separation anxiety before joining but I needn’t have worried- the settling in period was very thorough including me spending the first session with him and it was great to see how much fun the children were having.
Gabi & Lolo are flexible and attentive to our sons needs & we would highly recommend to anyone.
