About Me
Hello, my name is Elizabeth.
I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Clipstone, where I live with my husband, our two children (aged 26 and 24), and our friendly dog, Lando.
I have over 22 years of experience working with children and was graded Good by Ofsted at my most recent inspection in August 2025. I am also a proud member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years).
I offer a warm, friendly, safe and flexible home-from-home childcare environment where every child is valued as an individual. I provide a wide range of fun, engaging activities that support children’s learning and development through play, while ensuring they feel happy, secure and encouraged to reach their full potential.
I offer:
* Funded childcare for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds (15 and 30 hours)

* Childcare payments through participating employer childcare voucher schemes
My aim is to build strong relationships with both children and their families, creating a caring environment where children can learn, grow, make friends and, most importantly, have lots of fun.

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 21 years and have 23 years of experience working in childcare.
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education and a Diploma in Home-Based Childcare. I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and skills to provide the highest standard of care for the children I look after.
I also hold a Level 3 qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and I work closely with families to provide an inclusive, nurturing environment where each child can reach their full potential.
I offer funded childcare for eligible 2, 3 and 4-year-olds, including both the 15-hour and 30-hour government-funded childcare schemes, helping to make quality childcare more accessible for families.

Liz has been amazing with both my children. Had them for 2 years now. Extremely attentive and both children have come on leaps since going to her. The home environment really is that and both kids settled in quickly. They run to her when they see her. Very flexible and reliable. Has been a star with my son’s extra’s needs. Could not recommended Liz enough!

Liz is so lovely and friendly, it's obvious with how she is with the children and us parents that she has a lot of experience and enjoys what she does. My little boy enjoys going to her and loves all the activities she does with the children. She is very relaxed and puts you and the children at ease. She also keeps you informed with pictures and messages on what your child has been doing.

My children (5 & 1) both adore Liz; the youngest gets giddy and starts laughing each time we pull up outside and the oldest looks forward to school holidays when he gets to visit too. They love the educational play which is always different and engaging and they come home with all sorts they've made! I feel confident and happy leaving my wee ones with Liz, she's caring and nurturing - higly recommend.

My son has been with Liz since he was around 9month old, he is now 3 years old. She is a fantastic childminder and George absolutely loves her and her family. He has come on leaps and bounds and a lot of that is down to Liz and the learning activities she does with the children. They are like a second family to George and she cannot do enough for us, always there to help when we need it. I'll be very sad when the day comes that George doesn't need to go anymore... But I'll be making sure that's no time soon! Highly recommend :)
