About Me

im 36 years old, Im a mum to an 17 year old and a 9 year old

My Requirements

Live Out Nanny
Part Time Nanny

I am looking for a part-time nanny/1:1 carer for my 9-year-old son, Lucas, who has ADHD and additional needs.

Lucas has recently started at a specialist school in Chelmsford and I need to be in the office 3 days a week, so I am looking for someone who can collect him from school at 1pm and care for him until 6pm on those days.

Ideally the days would be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, but I can be flexible on the days for the right person.

During school holidays and half terms, I would need 2 full days of childcare, approximately 8.30am–6pm. There is no requirement to work between Christmas and New Year.

Lucas is a wonderful, funny little boy and is generally very happy and settled at home. He can find school and busy environments difficult, so we are looking for someone who is calm, patient and genuinely enjoys working with children who have additional needs.

The role would involve:
• Collecting Lucas from his school in Chelmsford
• Bringing him home and providing 1:1 care
• Supporting him with his routines and emotional regulation
• Keeping him engaged with activities he enjoys
• Taking him out for activities/walks when appropriate
• Helping him develop his confidence and independence
• Keeping me updated about how he has been during the day

I am looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience working with children with SEND
• Ideally has experience with ADHD, autism and/or emotional/behavioural needs
• Has experience providing 1:1 care
• Is calm, patient, reliable and caring
• Is confident managing a child independently
• Has excellent communication
• Has a full driving licence and their own car

£15–£17 gross per hour depending on experience.

If you think you could be the right person for Lucas, I would love to hear from you and find out a little more about your experience.

Imogen was babysitting for me for nearly 2 years, She was flexible, reliable, brilliant with my boys... I'm a bit lost without her now she's moved out of the area :(

She is genuinely lovely and my boys adored her, can't recommend enough... We miss you!

Very friendly, warm and helpfull

5 stars

I met with debbie after posting on this website looking for full time childcare for my son and she messages me straight away. She was very helpfull in informing me about childminders and how they work, she even told me that she knew other childminders in the area if she wasnt a good fit as she said that you have to be sure about the childminder you choose. She helped me when i got very lost due to me being geographically challenged when trying to find her house and was very welcoming when i did finally make it to hers. Unfortunately she had someone who wanted a place straight away and i did not need one for a while so my son wont be going to Debbie but i would recommend her to anyone, she was a lovely lady and my son who is normally very shy around people he doesnt know dived straight in to play he didnt want to leave.

Thankyou Debbie
