I am a fully qualified English teacher with many years of experience working with children, especially in Early Years. I am passionate about supporting children’s development in a caring, safe, and engaging environment. I would describe myself as responsible, reliable, energetic, and creative, with a naturally warm and playful approach that children respond to very well.
My love for caring for children started when I was very young, looking after my younger cousins, helping to feed them, play with them, and keep them entertained. Those early experiences helped me realise that working with children was not just something I enjoyed, but something I genuinely cared about and wanted to pursue professionally.
I have been working with children since 2013 as both an English Teacher and an Early Years Educator. In addition, I have cared for children on a regular basis as a nanny, supporting families with daily routines, school pick ups and drop offs, meal preparation, homework support, bedtime routines, and organising creative and educational activities at home. This has given me strong experience in building trusting relationships not only with children but also with parents.
I strongly believe in positive discipline, learning through play, messy play, creativity, storytelling, music, and understanding how children learn and develop. I bring a wide range of stories, songs, and creative activities into my work, and I love making learning fun and meaningful.
I am currently looking for part time or ad hoc childcare work in the Bedminster area or nearby, ideally something that fits around my daughter’s school schedule and my part time role at a reputable local school.
I can provide excellent references from nurseries and schools where I have worked, as well as from families I have supported as a nanny and babysitter.

My Experience
As I mentioned before, my experience in childcare began when I was young, but professionally I have worked with children throughout my entire adult life. I have extensive experience across nurseries, preschools, and primary schools in the UK, alongside regular babysitting and nanny roles.
I am DBS checked, and my certificate is available upon request.
I most recently worked at The Red House, a well known and OFSTED recognised children’s centre in Redland, where I gained valuable experience supporting children in their early years within a high quality setting.
Currently, I work as a Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant at a school in BS3. I also run three after school clubs at a reputable primary school in Southville. In addition, I have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and understand the importance of patience, structure, and tailored support.
As a bilingual speaker, I would also be delighted to introduce your children to Spanish through play, songs, and everyday conversation, helping them naturally develop skills in one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.
I am passionate about creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children feel confident, valued, and happy.
