Toddler is school ready!

I have 3 children and have always used nurseries until we found Kerry, Karen and their team. Rudy is nearly 3 and has been there since he was 1. Apart from genuine love, superb care and feeling like I’m leaving my child with family, Rudy is more school ready at this age than my other two children were. He can count, he is beginning to know phonics sounds, he knows every early years song, he can sit quietly and play, he can interact in a group. I am a teacher myself and Sunnyside plan all activities with EYFS Learning goals in mind and I am so impressed (and grateful) for the creativity shown in their resources. I can’t think of anything he hasn’t had an opportunity to experience and he is so independent because of this. Rudy receives nutritious, home cooked meals and absolutely loves Kerry’s garden. Every event in the annual calendar is celebrated fully and my other children are very jealous that they don’t get to go to Kerry’s! I receive photos and videos and communication throughout the day. This is my 5th childcare setting and others don’t compare. We are so happy.

Loving home away from home

We moved our daughter to Sunnyside few months ago. Within just few weeks my daughter settled in so well and is thriving here. Kerry and team do an amazing job of creating a loving and caring environment for the children. My daughter loves going here every day and looks forward to it. Kerry and team provide fresh food everyday here and organized new learning activities to keep the children engaged. I am so happy with the decision to send my daughter to Sunnyside. It’s such loving home away from home. My daughter loves the garden in Kerry’s house. It’s her favorite time of the day to play in the garden with Kerry and other children. They also put in extra effort to organize play activities in the garden such as play castle that my daughter loves. I highly recommend this place and appreciate all the effort the team puts in to take care of our children

Amazing Place with People full of love to give

Sunnyside, with the love and care from Kerry and the team, has truly become our daughter’s second home. She absolutely loves being there, and as parents we can genuinely feel the love, kindness and attention she receives every time she goes.

There is such a lovely sense of family, warmth and security, which means so much to us. Kerry and the team have been amazing — caring, flexible, supportive and always making sure our little one feels happy, safe and loved.

We feel so lucky to have found Sunnyside, and we honestly couldn’t ask for a better place for our daughter. A huge thank you to Kerry and the whole team for everything you do.

Caring and welcoming environment

We’ve been so happy with the care and support provided by our childminder. The daily photo updates are wonderful and helpful as we can see all the fun activities and the learning throughout the day. The activities are always engaging, educational, and tailored to help children develop and grow in a safe, nurturing environment. The fully equipped garden is amazing and offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play for the children. Food is very healthy and communication is great. Our child has been extremely happy since day one. We would highly recommend this setting to other families.

Such a warm, caring and happy setting

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Sunnyside. Our son started with Kerry and the team when he was 2.5 years old after his nursery unexpectedly closed, and from the very beginning they made what could have been a difficult transition feel so warm, safe and positive.

They create such a loving and nurturing environment, and it’s clear how much genuine care and attention goes into every child. The activities are always thoughtful, creative and engaging, and we love receiving the daily photo updates showing everything they’ve been up to. The outdoor space is fantastic too and regularly refreshed with new equipment and activities, which keeps the children constantly excited and exploring.

Most importantly, our son absolutely loves going to Sunnyside. Now at 4 years old he is still always excited to go, which says everything. We honestly couldn’t recommend Kerry and the Sunnyside team more highly. They have had such a positive impact on our son and our family.

Excellent Childcare for all our children.

I cannot recommend Kerry, Jackie and Nanny K at Sunnyside highly enough. As a family-run setting, they genuinely treat every child as an extension of their own family, creating a warm, nurturing and trusting environment.
We have complete confidence in their care, they are attentive, reliable, and keep us consistently updated with photos and insights into our child’s development and learning. The daily activities are thoughtfully planned and often linked to real-life events, which adds meaningful context to the children’s experiences.
Their garden is secure, engaging and filled with opportunities for fun, play and exploration. Every aspect of their setting reflects the care and dedication they put into supporting the children.
We have no complaints whatsoever and would wholeheartedly recommend Kerry and her family to anyone looking for exceptional childcare.

Amazing KF

My daughter has been at Sunnyside with Kerry and the team since she was 13 months old. I was extremely anxious leaving my daughter for the first time however Kerry and the team put me at ease straight away my daughter has been given the upmost time and attention when she has needed 1:1 support she has been given it and has the most amazing relationship with nanny k and Jackie. She loves all at Sunnyside but the support she has been given has been second to none the garden space the soft tray education is amazing and I receive constant updates and pictures throughout the day that brings a smile to my face whenever I see how much she has been enjoying herself. I will always be so appreciative and grateful for Sunnyside and what that have done for my little girl. X

Exceptional care - our daughter is so happy there

We started with Kerry when our daughter was 1 year old for a full week, 9-5, so I was worrying about how she would take it. I was amazed at how quickly she adjusted – settling took less than a week and she always goes there with a smile, often forgetting to say bye to us! They do so many various activities with the kids and have a beautiful garden, much better than our local nurseries and playgrounds.
Kerry updates us on our little one's routine with photos and is often available to chat even in the evening. Our daughter has made friends there and is developing very well.
We are very grateful to Kerry, Nanny K and Jackie for such lovely care of our daughter and feel very lucky that we have found such a wonderful childminder for our little one.

The best childcare you could wish for

I don't even know where to start with my praise for Kerry, Jackie and nanny K. We have no family in the area and can honestly say these special lady became our "village" As first time parents we really struggled with our decision to put our year old little girl in childcare she struggled being separate from me and had always been a terrible sleeper. We were convinced she would be miserable, and not sleep or settle with anyone else. How wrong we were! She settled in so fast and slept and ate like a champion. Kerry provides a really gentle settling in period which helped her and us get used to it before I went back to work.
We watched her come on leaps and bounds not only in her anxiety of being away from me but in all her skills, walking, talking, using cutlery the list goes on and on.
Kerry, Jackie and nanny K provide such a kind, loving, fun and safe environment I can't imagine we will ever find anywhere else that even comes close to how much trust we have for them.
Everyday is a different fun activity and she often came home with artwork for our gallery, which was so special to us and such a nice touch. They provide home cooked healthy food and the communication is amazing. Kerry kept us informed all day we had loads of photos, we knew what she had eaten and when, times of her naps and how she was in her general demeanor that day.
We honestly could not have asked for anymore and I cant recommend them highly enough. We are absolutely gutted that our circumstances have changed and we have to move out of the area. Our little family will be forever greatful to Kerry, Jackie and Nanny K for looking after our little squish so well and making our first childcare experience so positive. I know squish will miss you all.

Best care

I wanted to recommend this place for childcare from my own experience, it was the first time I left my child in care and it was the best care, my son never showed any reluctance to go, in fact he went there very willingly and with a smile, the people there are really helpful as well as in childcare, also if you have any questions regarding the child's development, they are happy to provide information outside of work. They are very creative, they come up with various trips or other activities, various attractions related to holidays or other special days, they teach everything, even cooking.I am grateful for every day that my son spent there in the family atmosphere that is created there, the work they do is their passion and love for children.
