Registered Childminder Job in Birmingham
My Requirements
I am looking for a reliable, patient and understanding childcare provider to support my 11-year-old daughter, Elsie, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
As I work as a student nurse and will soon qualify as in december, there will be occasions when I require support before and after school due to shift work.
Elsie starts secondary school in september so Ideally, I am looking for someone who can come to our home in the morning, help Elsie prepare for school if needed, and walk with her to school, encouraging her independence while providing reassurance and support. After school, I would like someone to collect her from school and accompany her home, remaining with her until I return from work if required.
Elsie is a bright, funny and chatty young girl who benefits from routine, consistency and calm, patient support. She can become overwhelmed by changes and anxiety, so I am looking for someone who understands autism or has experience supporting children with additional needs. Building a trusting relationship with Elsie is very important, and I would like the support to develop at a pace that she feels comfortable with.
My long-term goal is to help Elsie become as independent and confident as possible while ensuring she feels safe, supported and understood.

I honestly can't recommend Rhys and Becky highly enough. They’ve been absolutely amazing with looking after my daughter. From the very beginning almost two years ago since she started with them, they've made her feel so welcome and comfortable, and it’s been such a relief knowing she's in such caring and capable hands.
Elsie loves spending time with them, it's clear how much she enjoys her days there, and it’s lovely to see her so happy and settled. Rhys and Becky always create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment, and I really appreciate how they encourage her development and support her individual needs.
As a single parent who works shifts, I can't thank them enough for their flexibility and understanding. They’ve been so accommodating with my changing schedule, which has taken a huge weight off my shoulders. It’s hard to find childminders who are not only brilliant with children but also so reliable and supportive.
Thank you, Rhys and Becky, for everything you do for Elsie, you're truly a big part of her life, and I’m so grateful for the care and love you give her.
