I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Cherry Hinton, Cambridge (CB1), very close to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
I am married and a mum of three children. My oldest is 22 and graduated this year, my daughter is 16 and studying at college, and my youngest is 13 and still at secondary school.
I became a childminder around 10 years ago and I really enjoy working with babies, young children and their families.
Before I got married and had my own children, I worked as a nurse. Later I decided to leave my medical job and went to university to study child psychology. I also had experience working with children in an orphanage.
I think my medical background, my studies and my own experience as a mum really help me in my childminding job. They give me more confidence and a better understanding of children’s development, behaviour and individual needs.
I am a very patient, calm and gentle person, but at the same time I believe that kind and clear boundaries are very important for young children. They help children to feel safe and understand what is expected from them.
This is also why it is very important for me to meet parents before we sign a contract. I would like you to see my home, meet me, ask questions and understand how I work. We need to make sure that we are on the same page and that my approach feels right for your family.
At the end of the day, you are trusting me with your child, and I want you to feel comfortable and happy with your choice.
We spend lots of time outside. We regularly visit Cherry Hinton Hall Park, our local playgrounds and library, and spend plenty of time playing in my garden.
In the garden we have water and sand play, cars, scooters and a playhouse. We also have a four-seater buggy which gives us the freedom to go out and explore our local area.
At home we sing, dance, do simple arts and crafts, messy and sensory play, and of course lots of free play.
Books are a very important part of our day. We read and listen to stories every day because I would like children to start enjoying and loving books from a very early age.
I also try to provide children with more “real” resources made from different materials — wood, metal, wool and natural things such as pinecones, conkers, shells and stones. I like children to be curious, explore, ask questions and learn about the real world around them.
I encourage children to become independent, but also to be kind, polite, empathetic and respectful towards other people and their surroundings.
I know how important it is for parents to know what their child is doing during the day. I send daily photos and updates about our activities, lunch, sleep and little achievements.
Approximately every three months I also send parents a development report, so we can see together how their child is progressing and what we can support next.
I try to make life a little easier for busy parents too. Freshly cooked lunch, two snacks and nappies are included in my fees.
I am open all year round:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am–3:00pm
I accept government childcare funding.
My private fee is £10 per hour.
I am very proud that my latest Ofsted report was Outstanding.

I can’t recommend Olga enough! She recently looked after my daughters, and they had a fantastic time with her. She is incredibly warm, professional, and trustworthy. My girls are already asking when she’s coming back! Thank you so much, Olga, for taking such great care of them.

We can't recommend Olga highly enough. From Dani's very first day with her in February 2026 (he was 1yro), she made both him and us feel completely at ease.
Olga's home-cooked meals were a highlight every single day, always varied, healthy, and clearly made with real care, which helped Dani develop such a healthy appetite and love of trying new foods. It was also brilliant that nappies were included, taking one more thing off our plate as busy parents.
The activities Olga planned were fantastic. From sensory play with sand, rice, and pasta, to music sessions, DUPLO building, and imaginative play with his baby dolls, Dani was constantly engaged and learning. He loved being taken out and about in her fun 4-seat pram, spotting dogs, birds, and planes along the way, you could really see how much he looked forward to those outings.
What stood out most was how well Olga supported Dani through his settling-in period, gently helping him grow from a clingy, unsure toddler into a confident little boy who happily waved goodbye at drop-off. Her daily updates were a huge reassurance for me and my husband, we always knew exactly what he'd eaten, how he'd napped, and what new things he'd discovered that day, which made being away from him so much easier.
Olga is patient, warm, and genuinely invested in every child's development. We are so grateful for the care she gave Dani and would recommend her without hesitation to any family.

I cannot recommend Olga highly enough. She is truly an amazing childminder who goes above and beyond in every possible way. My 15-month-old daughter absolutely loves spending time with her, and I can see why.
Olga has millions of toys and engaging activities that keep little ones entertained while also encouraging sensory and motor development. What really stands out is her ability to find innovative ways to engage even the tiniest babies turning every moment into a learning experience. She is incredibly patient, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about what she does.
Olga takes special care to help each child develop independence gradually and reach their age-appropriate milestones. She even conducts individual assessments for each baby’s growth and development, which shows how deeply invested she is in every child’s progress.
Her attention to detail is unmatched if the children get wet after water play, she promptly changes their clothes, and when they go outdoors, she ensures they’re properly dressed for the weather, even providing her own set of jumpers and warm clothing for wind and cold.
Knowing that Olga is a qualified nurse gives me an additional layer of comfort. I have complete peace of mind knowing she understands how to respond if a child suddenly feels unwell or under the weather. She knows exactly when it’s safe to have them back and manages every situation with calm professionalism.
It’s no surprise that Olga has outstanding ratings you’ll understand why within just two to three months of your child being in her care. I never imagined my little girl would wave me goodbye without tears, but now she does so happily every morning. The photos and updates I receive throughout the day always show my baby smiling, engaged, active, and content.
Olga’s care has given me the precious peace of mind every parent hopes for. Knowing my daughter is safe, happy, and thriving in such a warm and stimulating environment is truly invaluable.

We are so grateful for the wonderful care our children received with Olga. From the very beginning, she created such a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where our little ones felt safe, happy, and truly loved.
Although our eldest only spent a short time with her, we saw immediately how attentive and kind she was. But it was through the time our youngest spent with her—from babyhood until starting nursery—that we truly came to appreciate the amazing care she provides.
She always showed such patience, affection, and understanding, meeting our child’s needs with genuine care and consistency. We were always reassured knowing our little one was in such good hands—happy, well looked after, and thriving.
Olga has been an important part of our family’s journey, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her. We cannot recommend her enough! She is just amazing!

I’m delighted with the care that Olga provided for my son and I feel so lucky and grateful that she was his childminder.
My son started with Olga when he was 14 months and was under her care for 2 years.
He loved Olga. He treated her as his second mum, calling her "mummy" sometimes.
Olga supported my son's development at all layers. She taught him letters and numbers, taught him how to use scissors, how to ride the slide or drink from the normal cup (not only his baby bottle).
She supported us with everything we wanted to introduce to him. Potty training is one example, she followed all our ideas for getting rid of nappies. She carried my son's favorite potty with Batman to all the places they went together.
She helped him to be as independent as he can be for example by encouraging him to peel his banana by himself or put his jacket on by himself.
He was perfectly prepared for the preschool at his age of 3 year old.
Olga spends a lot of time outside when the weather is good. Creates a lot of activities that children don’t get bored like playing with pasta or sand. She really focuses on improving her services. There is always something new for children to play with.
She takes kids to playgroups, to the park, to playgrounds or the library.
My son has some food allergy so it was important for us to watch his diet. Olga supported us in it and checked with us any food item that she wasn't sure he could eat.
Olga always gave us information about my son's day. We could rely on her at any time.
We were so happy with Olga services that we decided to move closer to her to make our life easier when the second baby comes.

We feel very lucky to have Olga looking after our son. He started going to her 3 days a week just before he turned 1, and has been with her 5 days a week since he was about 18 months old. He is now 27 months old. Olga was very patient and supportive while we settled him in (this was during the pandemic, and so he wasn’t really used to unusual people or locations when he first started at her setting), and before long he was happily waving us off in the mornings. She and the other children at the setting are a big part of his life now – he talks about them at dinnertime and is excited to see them in the morning.
We feel our son has thrived in Olga’s care. She has focused on his interests, building on his love of books and vehicles to scaffold his development. He can count, read numbers and knows a number of phonics. Olga has been thoughtful about his development and responded to him as an individual. When he needs support to try something new, she thinks of things he will enjoy and finds ways to encourage him. She has helped build his independence – he has learnt how to put his coat on by himself and how to eat without making (much!) mess by himself.
Olga is very gentle and I feel all the children in her care seem kind and well-mannered due to her influence. She has a nice relaxed approach in her dealings with our son and also with us. She keeps us up to date with what happens throughout the day, as well as chatting to us at the end of the day.
Although our son has been with Olga through much of the pandemic (starting in July 2020), she has found ways to keep the children entertained and happy. Her garden has lots of toys, a mud kitchen, a big table for play with water or sand, and lots of ride-on toys. Her home has a dedicated space with lots of books and room to play. I feel this has been a challenging time for childcare providers, and Olga has really impressed us with the care she has provided throughout.
