About Me
We are a small family relocating to Loughborough as I have recently joined Loughborough University as a lecturer. My husband and I both work full time, and we have a lovely 15-month-old son.
Our son is a curious, active toddler who enjoys being outdoors, exploring, music and books. At home we speak both English and Portuguese (we're from Brazil), so he is growing up bilingual.
As parents we are calm, organised and value kindness, communication and a nurturing environment for our child.
My Requirements
We are looking for childcare for our 15-month-old son starting late April, early May/2026, as we are relocating to Loughborough.
Ideally we are looking for care Monday to Friday during working hours.
We have access to funded childcare hours for working parents, so it would be helpful if the setting accepts funded places, although this is not essential.

We can't recommend Olga highly enough. From Dani's very first day with her in February 2026 (he was 1yro), she made both him and us feel completely at ease.
Olga's home-cooked meals were a highlight every single day, always varied, healthy, and clearly made with real care, which helped Dani develop such a healthy appetite and love of trying new foods. It was also brilliant that nappies were included, taking one more thing off our plate as busy parents.
The activities Olga planned were fantastic. From sensory play with sand, rice, and pasta, to music sessions, DUPLO building, and imaginative play with his baby dolls, Dani was constantly engaged and learning. He loved being taken out and about in her fun 4-seat pram, spotting dogs, birds, and planes along the way, you could really see how much he looked forward to those outings.
What stood out most was how well Olga supported Dani through his settling-in period, gently helping him grow from a clingy, unsure toddler into a confident little boy who happily waved goodbye at drop-off. Her daily updates were a huge reassurance for me and my husband, we always knew exactly what he'd eaten, how he'd napped, and what new things he'd discovered that day, which made being away from him so much easier.
Olga is patient, warm, and genuinely invested in every child's development. We are so grateful for the care she gave Dani and would recommend her without hesitation to any family.
