Always smiling to life, positive, enthusiastic and love being around children. I am patient, calm and very affectionate around children. I feel being a nanny allows me to express my creativity and imagination during play.
I am a fun, loving caring mum of two boys with the time to be a nanny now that they are at secondary school.
As a mum I would like to think I know what parents expectations are when leaving their child with someone else and understand how it can be placing a child in someone else's care which is why I would ensure the parents needs are always met as well as the child's by keeping the parents up to date on how we have spent the day and any developments.
I am a very outdoorsy person out in all weathers, energetic always running around after little ones getting them to be active as much as possible whilst playing fun games.
I always look into any toddler groups, music classes and go on outings to Wetlands, Kew Gardens, Science & History Museum, so many fun yet educational options!
I love being a nanny, it is such a rewarding job and many of the families I have previously worked with I have kept in touch with. When I am not going on outings I like to think it's important to create fun at home through various activities doing role play, interacting and finding the key to what they enjoy and love helping to be a part of that. There is never a dull day or where it is the same, always like to explore the world of imaginative play and create fun times full of laughter and smiles.
I find it easy to interact with them straight away and love becoming part of the family watching them grow and love playing a part in helping with their development.
I'm very enthusiastic when it comes to children, I love seeing them happy. I always look up ideas from teaching resources and very enthusiastic with children learning through creativity.
I like to teach the children about the different seasons we have as a way of getting them to explore the world around them and will do an activity based on this through arts & crafts / baking.
I am happy with the parents permission to make a journal about our day including photos and information. I also keep in touch with the parents on how the day is going via a message with photos.
My most recent experience I am very proud about is looking after four children sole charge all under 5 as a holiday nanny, age 18 months, 2, 3 and a 4 year old.
I also helped out as a nanny whilst parent's had a adult party and they needed 7 children supervised ages ranging between 8 month old to 3 years sole charge, the parents were very impressed with how I managed to keep the children quiet and focused without wanting any of the parents attention or any tears.
My time as a nanny of 10 years has been spent looking after children sole charge of all ages, including families with twins ranging from four months for one family to 9 year old twins! I have ten years experience with children in a variety of settings and my own personal experience as a mother to two boys a year apart.
Prior to nannying I worked as a children's representative part of a sports sailing water where I was able to combine my passion in sports and looking children!
I have also worked in a nursery observing the needs and different levels of children following the EYFS, creating my own ideas and have identified how to improve the development of the child whilst giving feedback to the parents.
I have also cared for children with special educational needs and behavioural problems. I have found it is very rewarding being a big part in helping developmentally, one of my proudest moments being helping a four year old to overcome selective mutism and in turn then ready developmentally to start school and be confident within his vocabulary and peers.

Lucy was absolutely wonderful. She arrived on time and was fantastic with my daughter who hasn’t had many sitters before. Would thoroughly recommend her.
There is no other way to describe Lucy's childcare but as absolutely amazing. Lucy is extremely passionate about her job and you can really tell that she is happy among children with so much love and dedication. She was always doing all sorts of activities from parks to zoos to playgroups, both my kids have developed enormously with Lucy. She has such a lovely, warm nature and fun personality you can easily see why my boys loved her tremendously alongside her sweet gentle caring nature. My boys speech have come on in leaps and bounds I believe this is a credit to her. Lucy also has a very artistic ability to get the boys making creative works of art which is a pleasure to come home to.
l felt completely reassured when I dropped my boys off, she keeps in contact with me as and when I need it throughout the day. I interviewed many nannies in my search for the best and she by far stood out, my boys would always smile with joy and hug her at the beginning of the day not wanting her to go home by the end of the day. I feel grateful that I've met her:)
Thank you Lucy
Lucy is fantastic! Can’t recommend her enough. She is very professional and reliable, I felt incredibly reassured when I came back to see my 7 month old baby so happy and content after her day with Lucy.
Lucy was a fantastic choice for us, we couldn't have asked better care for our children. My children were running up to her giving her hugs, even telling me they didn't want her to leave at the end of the day!
She has a lovely gentle way, showing love and affection around children.
She used so much initiative recommending places in the area, she took my two on lots of outings & classes. My boys came home beaming telling me all the fun they had at the park with Lucy.
She's also great at keeping my boys calm and engaged. She played a big part in helping my boys to learn how to read and gave confidence in helping to progress.
I can thoroughly recommend her for the next family, I wish we could have had Lucy for longer but our schedules and hours we needed changed.
Lucy is very creative looking after my baby in an out of home setting and is always flexible.
