Very very unprofessional

I’m really not impressed. Her behaviour is extremely unprofessional. I called her today to enquire about my son attending her childminding services. She said “oh you have called me before “ I said possibly. I don’t really remember. I haven’t looked for a childminder in 5/6 months so possibly.
She said she was outside with the kids so she will call me back. She then told me she had space.

She called me back 5 minutes later She then proceeded to say “ oh there’s a group chat with other childminders of you writting a review on another childminder in the area. And it wasn’t a good review. I said to her that, if I had written a review on a childminder it was because the services I recieved was poor and I should be able to express my opinion. It’s called freedom of speech. I would only write a review if I felt that I was unhappy with a service. She then proceeded to scold me for writting a review that I have written 5 months ago. If I had a bad experience 5 months ago and wrote a review, what is it your business to bring that up as part of the discussion. It’s very immature and kind of bullying behaviour. Because the childminder on her group chat, informed her I wrote a review. For her to scold me about that is very unprofessional, unpleasant and quite confrontational. She also then said” oh I’ve got 2 other people coming to check the place so I’ll let you know” and I said to her if your not interested because of that review it’s better to be upfront.
Even if that was the case, it’s not a good look to address a “potential customer” or a mother who is curious about joining you. It don’t look good. That’s very confrontational and not a way to behave or address a parent. Not a good look on her. I ended the conversation as I could see she was quite argumentative. And I didn’t want to engage into an argument with her.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

For clarity, we have only communicated via telephone. We’ve never met, you’ve never visited my setting, and you did not use my childminding services.

During our call, I explained that I was outside with the children in my care and would call you back, which I did shortly afterwards. I also explained that I had received multiple enquiries for the available space and would be speaking with other families before making any decisions.

The telephone conversation ended before any decision had been made regarding the place. I respectfully disagree with your account of our conversation, but I appreciate that people can have different perceptions of the same interaction.

I wish you and your family all the best in finding childcare that meets your needs.

Sandra looked after my son from 1yr-2yrs 4months old and I couldn't recommend her more highly. I found leaving my son to go back to work quite hard and looked in to all the nurseries in the area, nanny shares and other childminders and Sandra really stood out from all of the other options. She is so kind and caring, with a really good dose of common sense- I would always trust her to do the right thing for my son. She has a great set-up with a garden full of toys and takes them out every day to either the library or a play centre or the park. She also does a lot of craft and sensory play with them. The food is excellent- healthy and really varied. She is very professional and has all the paperwork and safeguarding in hand so you can really be reassured that everything is done properly. I honestly can't recommend her more highly.

Cannot recommend highly enough!

Sandra is an absolute gem! My son has been with her for 15 months - since he was 6 months old - and we all adore Sandra. She is extremely professional, dedicated and takes great care to learn all about her charges and to develop their interests in discussion with parents. She goes above and beyond to provide a welcoming, stimulating and safe environment with all sorts of excursions, trips and visits. She also provides delicious and varied meals and communication is thorough and detailed. Luc has absolutely flourished under her careful, conscientious and loving care. I cannot recommend her services highly enough.

Hi Tracy thanks for giving me the please of looking after your beautiful son. He is adorable and will be missed in the setting. I have seen him develop from a baby into a toddler and I have enjoyed every moment.
