About Me
Hello, My name is Joy Martin, I am 28 years old and I am looking for a Temporary Nanny role.
Working with children is incredibly rewarding and allows you to see the magic in this world! Therefore, I have been doing nothing else but expanding my experience and knowledge for the past Ten years so I can be an adaptable teacher for children of all needs and personalities. I have worked in Forest schools, Montessori education, SEND experience and childrens centers in India and Tanzania and Privately as a Nanny.
My Experience
With over 11 years of experience in childcare since completing my Childcare Apprenticeship, I have worked in a variety of settings and continued to develop my skills through further training and professional development.
I spent several months in Tanzania, working at a children’s centre and teaching at a local preschool. This was an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing me to explore ways of introducing my play-based approach to learning within a more academically focused educational environment.
I am passionate about outdoor learning and have trained as a Forest School Leader, running my own sessions for children aged 3–11. Storytelling is another great passion of mine, and I regularly lead engaging storytelling sessions in the settings where I work. I have also gained experience working in a Montessori school, where I received training in this unique child-centred approach to learning.
Alongside my experience in early years settings, I have worked as a nanny in Kensington, caring for two children under the age of five. Most recently, I spent two years caring for three children aged from four months to five years, including a child with additional needs. My responsibilities included school runs, supporting the children’s individual developmental needs, and providing sole care during both the day and overnight.
I believe in creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to explore the world around them.
My Qualifications
All GCSE's Grades A-C
AS levels in Music, Sociology + World development
Level 2 Childcare
Paediatric first aid
Forest school Level 3 training
Piano Grade 5
My Availability
Currently I am only looking for positions that are temporary and preferably live-in.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (net)
My rates naturally vary depending on location, number of children and whether it is a live in or live out role.
