About Me
Hello my name is Kathryn and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live in Fetcham with my partner and 2 children. I have 13 years experience working with children which include a BA Hons in Early Years: Teaching. I have learnt many things about child development and learning which will help me plan activities for your child, meeting their individual needs. As a parent now, I feel I have the experience from a parent's perspective which helps me to communicate and work together with you.
I believe I can provide high quality care in a stimulating home environment. I aim to provide a warm, safe and fun environment for your child to learn in. Some of the activities and experiences will include messy play, crafts, cooking, building, books, dressing up, music/dance, outdoor play and many more fun things. We will visit the library, parks, toddler groups, children's centres, soft play and many more.

Kathryn and I had several exchanges over childcare.co.uk and we met to discuss childcare for my son. By the end of the discussion we agreed to go ahead, a start date and settling in arrangements. Kathryn advised she would send the contacts on the same day. I had 2 other options which I contacted and thanked for their time however I had found an alternative arrangement. Later that day Kathryn emailed me and I opened this ready to sign contract, however instead was a message saying one of her current children had decided to increase their hours and thus she had no more space. I was obviously shocked but mostly disappointed that I now had been left with zero options. I understand I should have waited for the contract but we live in a small village and I naively believe that most people were honest and would not have made a verbal commitment if there was any chance they could not fulfil it. In her email Kathryn advised she would keep me at the top of her list should an opening come up, however when I went back to childcare.co.uk to look at other options she had blocked me and deleted our conversation history. Please exercise caution with Kathryn and if you decide to go ahead wait until the contracts have been signed.

My daughter has been going to Kathryn since around 10-11 months and we couldn’t have chosen anyone better for her to go to! Not only is Kat local, she has a beautiful setting at home where our little girl has thrived. She loves going there and formed such great, friendly relationships with other children that are looked after there. She takes them out often which is perfect for our daughter as she loves being outdoors exploring, though she also has a huge beautiful garden with lots of different activities for them to play. She offers healthy and varied meals throughout the week. Kathryn organises creative activities such as drawing, painting, messy play and bakes with the children, learning activities by counting, reading books and learning different words, our daughter has enjoyed it so much there. Unfortunately now going to pre school, our daughter will slowly be transitioning, I could go on but highly recommend Kathryn and so lucky to have found such a trustworthy, wonderful childminder to look after our daughter.
