About Me

Hello! My name is Michela (Aunty Michela to my Mindees), and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Plumstead. I work alongside my wonderful assistant, Elysee, who is French-speaking, giving children the opportunity to learn and experience French naturally through play, songs, stories, and everyday conversation.
I am passionate about providing high-quality childcare in a warm, safe, and nurturing home-from-home environment. I believe every child is unique, and I tailor my care to meet each child's individual needs, helping them grow in confidence while feeling happy, secure, and valued. Building strong, positive relationships with parents is at the heart of my setting, ensuring we work together to support every child's development.
Our days are filled with fun, learning, and adventure! We enjoy messy play, arts and crafts, sensory activities, role play, cooking, music, story time, and outdoor exploration. We regularly visit local parks, libraries, children's centres, and other places within the community, helping children discover the world around them while developing their confidence, curiosity, and social skills.
Before becoming a childminder, I worked as a foster sub-carer, where I completed training in safeguarding, confidentiality, record keeping, and supporting children's wellbeing. I also worked in a Montessori setting, which has inspired my approach to encouraging independence, creativity, and learning through play.
I offer reliable school pick-up services, funded childcare places (subject to eligibility), and childcare to support local families. My aim is to provide a caring, stimulating environment where children can make friends, create wonderful memories, develop new skills, and build a lifelong love of learning.

My Availability
My standard hours are 8am - 6pm.
However during term time there is an option of a breakfast session starting at 7.30am (Term time only). If parents have the odd meeting requiring additional hours I am willing to help.
My Fees
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
BEFORE 8AM £12 P/H
FULL DAY £80 (8am - 6pm)
AFTER 6PM - £12 P/H

SCHOOL COLLECTION: £120 (Monday - Friday 3pm - 6pm) £25 Per Day
- Food Included ONLY For Children Attending Monday - Friday
PLEASE NOTE:
A non-refundable deposit equivalent to four weeks' fees is required to secure all childcare placements, including spaces reserved for future start dates.
If you decide not to proceed with the placement, the deposit will be retained to cover the loss of income incurred while the space was reserved for your child.
If the placement goes ahead, the deposit will be credited towards your four-week notice period when the childcare arrangement is ended by either party, provided the terms of the contract have been met.

My daughter has been going to MJC since she was four months old and she is now 2 years and 10 months. I was a starting university and needed the help of a reliable person. I have received support with my breastfeeding journey as MJC was an expert on milk storage. She provides healthy meals which was perfect for when my daughter was weaned. As a working student I do not often get to take my baby away but MJC takes her to play group twice a week. She is also big on education and my daughter knows all her numbers, letters, animals etc. I know she is in a safe space because she asks for her childminder everyday. I get very regular updates and she has supported me with one off meetings and late study sessions during exam time. I am now in my final year of law school and I could not have done it without MJC.
