My Requirements

We are looking for a warm, reliable and organised nanny to care for our 9-year-old twin daughters from the first week of January 2027. Our nanny of eight years is moving back home, so we're hoping to find someone who would like a long-term role with our family.

The girls are happy, sociable and busy, with lots of sport and after-school clubs, so the role suits someone energetic who likes being on the go.

Hours
Term time (Monday to Friday)

• Mornings: 7am to 9am. Breakfast, getting the girls ready and driving them to school.
• Afternoons (Monday to Thursday): school pick-up at around 3:30pm until around 7pm.
• Fridays are mornings only.

School holidays

• Around 10 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with the exact times agreed in advance.

We both work long hours, so we occasionally need you to start earlier or stay later. We normally give notice, and any extra hours are given back as time off in lieu.

The role

• Breakfast, getting the girls ready and driving them to school.
• School pick-up and driving them to their clubs on most evenings.
• Helping with homework.
• Cooking healthy dinners each evening and preparing snacks and everything needed for school.
• All laundry for the girls, including washing and ironing.
• Planning and supervising activities, outings and playdates in the school holidays.

Holiday and salary

• This is a salaried role paid in equal monthly instalments, so your pay stays the same every month, including quieter ones.
• You get 4 weeks' paid holiday plus bank holidays. We choose 2 weeks, usually in the school holidays, and you choose 2 weeks.
• We travel a lot, so in practice you'd typically get 5 to 7 weeks' paid time off a year.

Our dog
We have a friendly five-year-old Labrador who is very much part of the family, so you must love dogs. The giris like to walk her, especially in the holidays (evenings tend to be be a bit busy), but this isn't required of you unless you want to.

Handover
Before January you'll spend time with the girls and our current nanny so you can learn the routines and settle in.

Essential

• Experience caring for school-age children, with references.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and your own car, insured for business use. Mileage is paid.
• Ofsted registered, or willing to register.
• An enhanced DBS check, preferably on the Update Service.
• Paediatric first aid, or willingness to complete it.
• The right to work in the UK.
