Childminder in Wrotham (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
Specialising In The Precious Early Years- Just For 0-3 Years
About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in the heart of Wrotham village. I live with my husband, who is a police officer, and our two children aged 11 and 6.
I understand that choosing childcare can feel like a big decision for families. My aim is to provide a warm, safe and nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel secure, happy and supported while they learn and grow.
A setting specially designed for babies and toddlers (0–3 years)
My childcare setting focuses exclusively on children aged 0–3 years, allowing me to provide care that is tailored specifically to the needs of babies and toddlers.
Specialised environment
Toys, equipment and routines are designed specifically for younger children.
Activities focus on important early development milestones such as walking, talking, social skills and independence.
Strong early years focus
Children receive attentive, consistent care that supports their development during the most important early years.
Calm and safe atmosphere
With no older or more boisterous children, the environment remains calm and safe for babies and toddlers.
Spaces are designed for crawling, sensory play, exploration and restful naps.
Secure attachments
A smaller age range allows strong bonds to develop, helping children feel emotionally secure and confident.
Consistent routines
Similar sleep, play and meal routines help provide structure and predictability for young children.
Daily activities and outings
Children in my care enjoy a wide range of fun and stimulating activities, including:
Art and craft activities
Music and movement sessions
Messy play and sensory exploration
Playgroups and soft play
Story time and daily singing sessions with instruments
We also enjoy regular outings and visits. I am a member of Kent Life Farm, the National Trust and Willows Birds of Prey Centre, giving children exciting opportunities to explore and learn outside the home.
Learning through play
All children under five follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, the same curriculum used in nurseries and required by Ofsted.
Children are encouraged to learn through play and creativity, including sensory experiences such as sand, water, foam, paint and rice play.
Outdoor play
I have a large garden with artificial grass and shock-absorbing safety padding, creating a safe outdoor environment where young children can explore and play freely.
Healthy meals
I provide healthy home-cooked meals, and children love helping with simple food preparation and baking activities.
Opening hours
I am open Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm, and I am happy to discuss individual childcare requirements.
I accept funded hours and tax-free childcare.

My son was going to Jow once a week for 1,5 year. From 6am till 6pm. He was just 1 year old, but he settled in really quickly in this small, relaxed and very friendly environment.
They do varied activities every time(music, dance, bubbles, sand etc) and little trips.
We are always had a little chat on collection and I was able to see all updates on Baby's days app. Soo many pics that I really liked it.
I really appreciate her job and in my opinion she is really good childminder. Very organised and creative.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s the best thing in the world to hear that the children are happy and parents are pleased with the service I provide.
My children always want to go to Jojos house. She offers a wonderful educational experience in a warm, home from home environment. She takes them on lots of outings, provided stimulating activities and the childminder playgroup was a godsend during Covid as it meant at the children didn’t miss out on socialising.

My LG has been with jo since February and it has been the best decision I made for her as she hated nursery (screamed uncontrollably every day for almost a year!) since she has been with jo I have seen a dramatic difference.
Jo ensures the children are engaging in fun learning and my LG has learned so much, she now knows all her colours and is coming on leaps and bounds in other areas of her understanding and knowledge of different things.
My LG is not the easiest to care for as we are in the threenager stage, however jo ensures she is firm but fair when it comes to behaviour and boundaries (such as kind hands and kind feet, sharing nicely, asking for a toy instead of just taking etc) this is something I appreciate as it reciprocates the rules we have at home.
Jo is always taking the children out to groups, farms, nature reserves, baby ballet, soft play, or at home baking and creating which is usually very hard to find a childcare provider whom does do the above so often.
I would highly recommend jo to anyone seeking childcare options

When my husband and I want a night out we always make sure to call Jo for her babysitting services.
We have 3 little ones that need looking after.
They always love the time they spend with Jo as she makes their time with her fun and relaxed.
You can tell she is a natural when looking after children and I am always very happy to leave the children with her for a night out.
