My Experience

I have experience of being a live in Nanny for 2 years in West Sussex, to a lovely family whom I'm still in contact with after relocating in 2009 to Hastings. I had sole charge of 2 boys, one of which was 9 months old when I first joined the family, and the other was 5 years old.

Since relocating to Essex 4 years ago, I witnessed the struggles parents were having getting the right support and being heard by professionals, so I took the leap and decided to offer my services in 2025 and became a SEN nanny for families who were finding life a little overwhelming at times.

In the last year I have supported an array of families, supporting their required needs and with holistic and systemic intervention.

I have extensive experience working with challenging and difficult behaviours, also additional needs PDA, ASD, ODD, Gestalt language processing and ADHD.

While supporting a child with challenging behaviours within a school setting as their nanny, I was approached by the SENCO and Headteacher if I would be interested in becoming a TA to support children with SEN needs in a classroom, and to also support with the forest school setting which I am now apart of and have enjoyed my time supporting all children and being apart of the school.

I previously worked within a children's home and young people's supported living sector - working with Young people, whom had various behavioural challenges and needs. I've worked to a senior level within young persons supported industry, based on therapeutic and nurturing outcomes and have risen and maintained a senior role within the management team.

I have held the position of Deputy manager/ Team leader within childrens homes and wellbeing and inclusion manager within supported accommodation.

Although the above sounds very serious!?!- I'm bubbly, colourful, and full of fun!

(I don't mind being a fairy or a tiger when children want to produce a theatrical performance, Or having my make up and hair done by a creative 2 year old!)

First Aid Level 3 (Valid for 3 years 8 to 18)

Peadiatric 1st aid (valid for 3 years)
