My Summary
About Me
My name is Michelle
I live in London.
For five years I worked as a Pre-School Teacher in a private school, teaching maths, phonics, science and life skills to under five year old's, preparing them for reception and 4+ assessments.
I spent four and half years working in nursery settings and ten years working as a Private Nanny for different families, caring for children of all ages including new borns.
I have trained as a Caseworker for the Charity Victim Support, volunteered in a Primary School as a Teaching Assistant, as well as working within the retail sector, to develop new transferable skills.
I'm used to and enjoy planning and arranging various fun, enjoyable and educational activities as well as days out with children of all ages.
I now work at a tuition centre three days a week for children who are home educated. I tutor for two families planning and arranging fun, educational activities for children under the age of 10 years. I would welcome more tutoring opportunities.
I'm a happy and energetic person who is passionate about teaching. I enjoy travelling, going to the cinema, watching live theatre shows, comedy nights, attending the gym for classes such as Boxercise and Yoga.
I have an up to date DBS and first aid certificate.
My Experience
I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, an up to date First Aid Certificate, Clear DBS check. Health and Safety training received and a clean driving licence.
I have over 24 years Childcare experience working in nurseries, as a private nanny for families, tutoring and as a Pre-school teacher.
I have experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs
supporting them during lessons helping them with their speech delay, developing communication skills, ensuring sessions were enjoyable where the children could develop at their own pace and have extra support.
I would also have one to one sessions offering extra help arranging games tailored to
children’s needs.
