My Experience

I have six years of childcare experience working in nurseries with children aged 0–5. This has enabled me to develop a strong understanding of early childhood development, including the importance of secure relationships, communication, play-based learning and carefully planned learning experiences.

I have completed my first year of Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction at a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) school. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt teaching, provide appropriate support and respond effectively to individual learning needs. I also have two years of experience teaching in mainstream schools, where I developed my classroom practice and supported pupils across a range of abilities.

I have specialist training in phonics and will be using the Twinkl phonics scheme, alongside books relating to your child’s interests. This approach will provide structured phonics teaching while helping to maintain engagement and encourage children to apply their developing knowledge in meaningful reading experiences.

I am experienced in supporting children to become confident readers and to excel in their reading. My practice focuses on building secure foundational skills, developing fluency and comprehension, and fostering a positive attitude towards reading. I aim to work collaboratively with families and to provide teaching that is responsive to each child’s individual starting point, needs and progress.

My Qualifications

I have an EYTS and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

My Availability

I’m fully available from Monday to Friday and will also be working with a SEND agency to provide tutoring to young people currently out of education.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £35.00 per hour

I charge £35 per hour as a qualified, experienced teacher.
