I am a 38 year-old Ofsted registered, enthusiastic, active and fun-loving Nanny and Maternity Nurse . I am trustworthy and extremely reliable individual with a bubbly personality.
I am naturally a calm, gentle and nurturing nanny who loves to watch/encourage my charges grow and develop. I adore working with children and have a real passion for it.
Blessed with three of my own children, my eldest Jake (19) has autism so I have first-hand experience in dealing with children on the spectrum. I also have two daughters Holly and Thea who are 18 and 5, as you can imagine there isn’t much about childcare that fazes me!
I have always wanted to work with children, even as a young girl it was all I ever wanted to do when I grew up and now over 20 years on I have enjoyed working a number different roles. Working with children varying in ages from new born to teenagers in day time and night roles .
My first role aged 16 was as an au pair for a family with two children aged 3 and 4. I loved this role and I am still in touch with the family now. The children are now 25 and 26!
Next I moved on to working in a crèche called World of children in Kingston town centre. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and worked right up until the day before I had my son Jake.
When Jake was 6 months old i started work at a nursery in Chessington. He came with me to work which worked brilliantly until I fell pregnant with my second child Holly.
After I had my daughter I took a few years off working to concentrate on my children, when Holly was three and Jake started school I decided to start child-minding and ended up finding a little girl the same age as Holly to look after. A year or so later the little girls mum had her second child who I started caring for at 6 weeks old. Two years after that she had another little girl who also came to me at 6 weeks old along with her big sisters. I looked after all the girls until the youngest started full time school. We still keep in touch and my children are still good friends with this families children. I still provide ad hoc care for the girls.
In 2014 my daughter Holly started secondary school and I started my first nanny role looking after a 2 year old little girl and a 4 year old boy. I instantly loved my job and the family I worked for. In 2015 I fell pregnant with my third child Thea, after having three months off with her I went back to work and it all panned out really well, the children adored Thea and became like extra siblings to her. This role came to an end in 2019 after many happy years and we still keep in touch. (Alongside this role I also did a nanny share with another family for 6 months looking after a 7 year old boy who was in the same class as the little girl I looked after)
My next role was with a 8 year old providing before and after school care. I also brought Thea with me to this job and again it worked well, she was at pre school in the mornings by now. During the day I would carry out housekeeping tasks and family admin. I also took care of and trained the families Golden-Doodle puppy! When corona virus hit in March 2020 I was furloughed as the Dad of the family had to shield. Later on in the year the family decided they would no long require a nanny as they were going to be working from home for the foreseeable future. I decided to take the summer off with Thea as she started school in September.
In October 2020 once I had my daughter settled into reception I started a new role with a family who had a 10 month old and a four year old. This has been a lovely family to work for but again due the latest lockdown their circumstances have changed. The mums office has shut down and she is now permanently working from home. They live in a very small cottage so a nanny being there with the two children makes working from home extremely difficult. Because of this they have decided to seek childcare outside of their home with a childminder instead.
I n July 2020 I started my first night nanny role looking after a baby boy from 10 days old 3 nights a week for 6 months.
My next night nanny role was looking after a 7 week old little girl for two nights a week.
In March 2021 I carried out a three week proxy parenting role looking after 4 children while their parents were abroad.
I am currently booked until The end of August for regular night nannying but have some ad hoc weekend availability.
Excellent references available from all my past roles.

I was incredibly anxious about leaving our 21 month old son for the first time since lockdown began 15 months ago. Upon meeting Sarah, her childcare experience and knowledge along with her genuine caring nature were immediately apparent.
I made my concerns clear and Sarah allayed them with advice based on experience and also advised us what to expect, all the while assuring us that if our son did not settle, she would let us know.
Sarah provided relevant updates without being intrusive and the experience was far, far easier and less stressful than we’d dared to imagine!
We are looking forward to welcoming Sarah again.
Sarah helped us look after our kids for a few weeks while me and my husband were away. My kids really enjoyed her company and said lots of good things about her. She is very friendly, nice, cheerful and fun to be with. She looked after our kids well and ensured that things were done as planned and well organised. Initially, we were worried about how we would get someone who could help us look after our kids properly when we away until we met Sarah and we felt less worried. She always updated us on how things went. Sarah is fantastic and professional, we are so grateful for all what she did. I will definitely recommend her and happy to contact her again in future for her wonderful service if needed.
Having never used a night nanny before, I wasn't sure what to expect, or how comfortable I would be having someone in our home, looking after our baby. However I needn't have worried as Sarah made me feel instantly relaxed and reassured, taking the time to understand our baby's normal nighttime routine.
It was such a treat to go to bed knowing that someone else would manage the feeding, nappy changes and re-settling and allow me to catch up on some much needed sleep! Sarah did a wonderful job and I felt like a different person for a night's sleep. Sarah worked with us over several weeks until our baby started to sleep through and I would happily recommend her to anyone needing support at nighttime or during the day. She's warm, caring and naturally suited to the job. Thank you Sarah!
Sarah worked with our family for 5 years looking after my children when they very young through to 7yrs and 9yrs. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
The children adored her! I have a busy job and Sarah was always one step ahead of me which is what I needed. Sarah is a great ‘all rounder’. Not only was she amazing with the children, she was very happy to help me with odd jobs around the home. I highly recommend her.
Sarah is a lovely, kind and thoughtful nanny. My children instantly took to her and she’s been easy to work with in every way. An experienced mother herself, she’s not phased by anything and made my return to work after number two feel easy.
Sarah is totally reliable, I don’t think she’s been ill or late once since she’s been with us and we always arrived home to a serene house with happy well fed children (not the chaos we normally might have ourselves!).
Sarah’s time with us has been shorter than expected only because of the disruptions brought by the pandemic and changes to my work patterns, which have left me working from home permanently and needing childcare outside of our (small) house.
