Hello, Thanks for visiting my Profile. I am a 39 year-old self employed, Ofsted registered, Level 4 qualified Maternity Nurse . I am trustworthy and extremely reliable individual with a bubbly personality. I also offer evening babysitting.
I am naturally a calm, gentle and nurturing nanny who loves to watch/encourage my charges grow and develop. I adore working with children and have a real passion for it.
Blessed with three of my own children, my eldest Jake 20 has autism so I have first-hand experience in dealing with children on the spectrum. I also have two daughters Holly and Thea who are 19 and 6, as you can imagine there isn’t much about childcare that fazes me!
I have always wanted to work with children, even as a young girl it was all I ever wanted to do when I grew up and now over 20 years on I have enjoyed working a number different roles. Working with children varying in ages from newborn's to teenagers in day time and night roles .
My first role was as an au pair for a family with two children aged 3 and 4. I loved this role and I am still in touch with the family, The ‘children’ are now 25 and 27!
Next I moved on to working in a crèche called World of children in Kingston town center. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and worked right up until the day before I had my son Jake.
When Jake was 6 months old I started work at a nursery in Chessington. He came with me to work which worked brilliantly until I fell pregnant with my second child Holly.
After I had my daughter I took a few years off working to concentrate on my children, when Holly was three and Jake started school I decided to start child-minding and ended up finding a little girl the same age as Holly to look after. A year or so later the little girls mum had her second child who I started caring for at 6 weeks old. Two years after that she had another little girl who also came to me at 6 weeks old along with her big sisters. I looked after all the girls until the youngest started full time school. We still keep in touch and my children are still good friends with this families children. I still provide ad hoc care for the girls.
In 2014 my daughter Holly started secondary school and I started my first nanny role looking after a 2 year old girl and a 4 year old boy. I instantly loved my job and the family I worked for. In 2015 I fell pregnant with my third child Thea, after having three months off with her I went back to work and it all panned out really well, the children adored Thea and became like extra siblings to her. This role came to an end in 2019 after many happy years and we still keep in touch. (Alongside this role I also did a nanny share with another family for 6 months looking after a 7 year old boy who was in the same class as the little girl I looked after)
My next role was with a 8 year old providing before and after school care. I also brought Thea with me to this job and again it worked well, she was at pre school in the mornings by now. During the day I would carry out housekeeping tasks and family admin. I also took care of and trained the families Golden-Doodle puppy! When corona virus hit in March 2020 I was furloughed as the Dad of the family had to shield. Later on in the year the family decided they would no long require a nanny as they were going to be working from home for the foreseeable future. I decided to take the summer off with Thea as she started school in September.
In October 2020 once I had my daughter settled into reception I started a new role with a family who had a 10 month old and a four year old. This has been a lovely family to work for but again due the 2nd lockdown their circumstances have changed. The mums office was shut down and she is now permanently working from home. They live in a very small cottage so a nanny being there with the two children makes working from home extremely difficult. Because of this they have decided to seek childcare outside of their home with a childminder instead.
In July 2020 I started my first Maternity Nurse role looking after a baby boy from 10 days old 3 nights a week for 6 months. Since then I have worked with several other families (including twins)supporting them with their newborns throughout the night. In August 2021 I gained a level 4 maternity nurse qualification.
Since I started working as a maternity nurse I have provided families with a whole range of support, from implementing a good routine ensuring baby is effectively feeding and sleeping, helping new mothers to breastfeed along with taking full care of the newborn overnight so the new parents can get much needed nights rest!

Sarah looked after my preemie baby girl from 9pm to 7am so that I could have a break and reboot. She was very friendly, warm and professional. I instantly felt at ease with Sarah and confident in her abilities to look after my baby. She was fantastic and gave me great advice too. Thank you Sarah and I will certainly be calling you up soon!
Sarah looked after our twins boys overnight regularly from when they were 6 weeks old to 4 months. She was excellent with them. She is a very calm and experienced night nanny and I found her to be a lovely calming influence on the boys and me! She was very respectful of our routine whilst at the same time making helpful suggestions to make our lives easier. We were able to have a few nights of well needed sleep and everything felt easier the day after Sarah had been here!
We hired Sarah to be our nanny for our 5 month old son on our wedding day and it was one of the best decisions we made! Theodore loved her from the moment they met, she is such a natural with him and she was so professional, I had no concerns about him on the day whatsoever. Sarah fit around the order of the day and made sure Theo was on top form for all the important moments, feeding, napping and changing him the entire time. She fit into the wedding like one of the family and we can't thank her enough. We had lots of comments from friends and family saying how amazing she was. Thank you! :)
I was incredibly anxious about leaving our 21 month old son for the first time since lockdown began 15 months ago. Upon meeting Sarah, her childcare experience and knowledge along with her genuine caring nature were immediately apparent.
I made my concerns clear and Sarah allayed them with advice based on experience and also advised us what to expect, all the while assuring us that if our son did not settle, she would let us know.
Sarah provided relevant updates without being intrusive and the experience was far, far easier and less stressful than we’d dared to imagine!
We are looking forward to welcoming Sarah again.
Sarah helped us look after our kids for a few weeks while me and my husband were away. My kids really enjoyed her company and said lots of good things about her. She is very friendly, nice, cheerful and fun to be with. She looked after our kids well and ensured that things were done as planned and well organised. Initially, we were worried about how we would get someone who could help us look after our kids properly when we away until we met Sarah and we felt less worried. She always updated us on how things went. Sarah is fantastic and professional, we are so grateful for all what she did. I will definitely recommend her and happy to contact her again in future for her wonderful service if needed.
