About Me
I am an OFSTED registered childminder based in Clapham Junction. I seek to create a nurturing and caring environment for all the children in my care, and I value building strong relationships with their parents. I live with a loving and supportive family, and we all abstain from smoking. I’m also fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
I curate and deliver an ambitious curriculum that fosters children’s holistic development, enabling them to become confident and active learners. This is achieved through the provision of a diverse range of resources, activities, and experiences. I also have a spacious garden where children can engage in play and exploration, and I provide numerous opportunities outside that cover the different areas of learning, aiding their physical, cognitive, and social development.
My Experience
My extensive experience in childminding, spanning over 25 years, has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and skills in working with children. Throughout my career, I have consistently attended various childcare courses and First Aid courses to enhance my expertise and ensure the highest quality service I provide.
My Qualifications
As an OFSTED registered childminder, I hold a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid and an Extended First Aid certificate specifically designed for babies and children. Additionally, I have received comprehensive training in various areas, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) progress check at the age of two, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training, planning and delivering personalised learning experiences, providing effective learning and development opportunities, creating enabling early years environments, facilitating physical activity, supporting positive behaviour, promoting brain development in the early years, fostering multilingualism in the early years, and promoting equality and diversity within my setting.
To ensure the safety and well-being of children in my care, I have undergone specialised training in safeguarding children and child protection, fire safety, FGM awareness, Prevent training, allergens, breast ironing, safe lifting techniques for children, bullying prevention, oral health, healthy eating habits, and mental health support.
My Availability
Currently, I have availability for 2026. My working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I am available to care for children from the ages of 0 to 4 years old. However, I am unable to accommodate school pickups.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£7.50 per hour. £70 per day.
I do accept payment via the Tax-Free Childcare scheme and the 15/30 Free Hours scheme, if you are eligible, and if I am able to accommodate your needs.
I do not have any additional fees as I ask that you provide all consumables (nappies, cream, wet wipes) and I do not provide or offer food and drink either (you bring lunch, snacks and milk (if necessary) daily.

Joanne has been a godsend to our family! She was the very first childcare provider my daughter has ever attended, starting when she was 10 months old, and from the beginning it was clear we had made a great choice. Right away we could tell Joanne is very experienced. She's also got a super calm demeanour that puts kids at ease fast, but she also is really fun and joins in on the activities she proposes, like dressing up for World Book Day. She's super thoughtful with the little ones and makes them feel special, be it a special date like Christmas or birthdays or during the everyday, and as a result my daughter settled in super quickly and is now thriving under her care. Her communication skills are great and she's super flexible, which is fundamental so we can conciliate both work and childcare.
Choosing a childcare provider is not easy, but when we met Joanne it truly felt like a no-brainer.
