Hello! My name is Deborah and i am 25 years old.
I live in West London. I really enjoy looking after children and doing hands-on activities.
I have 8 years of experience working with children and young people in different settings, including youth clubs, nurseries and after school clubs. I also have extensive experience of babysitting.
My Experience
As a youth worker, I engaged with children individually to meet their emotional and physical needs. I was able to organise small groups of children whilst moving to and from outdoor play. I promoted good behaviour by using the positive reinforcement method. I practiced first aid and learnt the importance of health and safety.
As a nursery assistant, i help with snack time by preparing snacks such as fruits, sit with and lead the children for circle time, set-up tables and play areas with indoor and outdoor play equipment for playtimes, and keep rooms clean by sterilising and disinfecting children’s toys and tables.
As a babysitter, i have looked after children of all ages and It has allowed me to gain lots of skills and knowledge of the children’s physical, emotional and social needs.
Working with children has allowed me to expand my skills and knowledge of children’s needs, whilst helping them learn and spark their imagination along the way. I throughly enjoy it and it makes me happy knowing that i am supporting children to have the best start in life.
