About Me
Hi! A bit about me - I am a qualified secondary teacher and have a masters in counselling children and young people. I have recently moved to Southend and I’m looking for a part time/ad hoc nanny/babysitting role in my local area.
I have worked in nurseries with children aged 1 year to 4 years and also have worked as a carer to a child with severe needs. Although I loved teaching, I left to pursue my passion in children’s mental health and undertook my masters in counselling children and young people. For now, I’m happy to return to my nannying roots just as I settle into this new town. I love playing, arts and crafts and exploring with children but can also provide help with homework and light tutoring. I am caring, compassionate and adapt my approach to best suit the needs of children and their families. Please reach out if you feel I could help your family! My rates are reasonable :) (I have had plenty of first aid training but not in a little while so intend to book on to refresh)

My Qualifications
I have a masters in counselling children and young people from Birmingham City University. I am also a qualified teacher and received a master’s level with merit from Sheffield Hallam University. I also have a first class degree in Working with Children, Young People and Families.
My Availability
Part time basis, nothing past 5pm unless babysitting Job late nights and weekends
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)
£12 for nannying. Babysitting fees can be discussed :)

We employed Kate to look after our two children, one of whom has very complex special needs. Kate was an excellent nanny, a very caring and diligent carer for our children, very friendly and always thinking up great activities to do with the kids. Would highly recommend 👍
