Hi, I’m Sophie! I’m a qualified primary school teacher with QTS and experience teaching across Early Years, KS1 and KS2, including Nursery and Reception. I also have several years of private babysitting experience and a strong understanding of child development, learning and safeguarding.
I’m now a mum to a baby boy and am looking for a warm, welcoming family who would be happy for him to accompany me while I nanny. I offer nurturing, attentive care with lots of play, outdoor activities, stories, music and age-appropriate learning. I’m also available for private primary tutoring and piano lessons.
I’m reliable, caring and passionate about creating a calm, happy environment where children feel safe and supported.
My Experience
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with QTS and experience teaching children across Early Years, KS1 and KS2, including Nursery and Reception. Alongside teaching, I have several years of private babysitting experience, caring for children from newborns upwards.
I also have extensive experience planning engaging, age-appropriate activities, supporting children's development, phonics and early learning, and creating safe and nurturing environments.
I am now a mum myself to a baby boy, giving me additional hands-on experience of caring for a young baby. I also have a musical background and have taught private piano lessons to children.
I am currently looking for nannying, babysitting, private tutoring and piano teaching opportunities.

PGCE in Primary Education
BA (Hons) Education Studies with Learning and Teaching – 2:1
ECT completed
Grade 5 Piano
Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism – DDD*
9 GCSEs (A–C)
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday and am ideally looking for a regular daytime nannying position of approximately 30–40 hours per week, where I would be able to bring my baby son with me.
I am flexible regarding start and finish times and am happy to discuss a schedule that works for both families.
I am also available for private tutoring and piano lessons, including after-school sessions, and may be available for occasional babysitting by arrangement.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
My fees reflect my qualifications and professional experience working with children:
Private Tutoring: £30 per hour
Piano Lessons: £30 per hour
Babysitting: £18 per hour
Nannying: £15 per hour
