Zarina
Doula in London (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I specialise in Breastfeeding/Newborn Care and Postnatal care for the new mum. I have over 30 years of experience with raising my own children as well as a childcare professional.
After my own challenges in pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding I knew I had to help other women not feel they way I had each time. So becoming a Doula was the best thing I could do to make a difference.
I can show you all the best ways of taking good care of your baby.
I prefer to work with babies from 0-6 months.
As much as I am passionate about teaching you I really enjoy updating and expanding my own existing knowledge. I thoroughly enjoy meeting families from such diverse backgrounds as I come from a large family myself and have naturally always cared for others.
My work ethic and approach is very holistic and family centred. One of my other passions is the Montessori Approach for the early years.
I also love Art, Music, Nature, creative writing, poetry and so much more that will fill this page !
I choose to support you in how you wish to care for your baby and I can share tried and tested evidence based solutions with you so you are confident enough to manage alone as well.
A huge part of my role is assisting you throughout your own Postnatal healing period so you feel heard, seen and well looked after. What I love most is watching you grow with confidence when you take care and begin to understand your baby’s needs.
The baby care support I offer can range anywhere from teaching you how to manage and understand infant feeding - both breast and bottle, recognising and handling baby’s feeding habits and requirements, finding solutions for digestive issues to the more complex too, including all baby care needs ranging from - bathing, massage, teething, weaning advice through to sleep and anything else you need to learn or need more information on from me.
I can offer some overnight care particularly during those early few weeks when it is an overwhelming experience for you as new parents. After the early few weeks you can find a night nanny too to help you get through and cope better during the day.
I have been very successful helping so many new parents with newborns on how to establish the best start for them. So many of them still remain in touch today.
I am a mature and experienced mum to five older children, four beautiful daughters and one handsome son!
I have recently become a very proud grandmother of three gorgeous baby girls.
My Experience
Recently I have advanced my existing Doula skills from the elite Doula Pathways provider based in Berlin, where I have gained further knowledge and offer Fascia and Biomechanics in pregnancy which can support immensely during labour.
I can also treat your baby straight after birth to avoid many of the things my own babies suffered from during their complicated instrumental births.
I offer Postpartum Fascia bodywork treatment for baby too which helps soften and align their body to ease pain during feeds which helps aid sleep as well. I can do this without referring you now which is a huge asset.
I am a huge supporter of the resting period after birth and offer other services which include healthy nutrition & advice alongside rejuvenating flower bath treatments and practice closing the bones and womb alignment. I incorporate many cultural practices to aid perinatal wellness to the mothers I work with and I now offer them to you, in the comfort of your home.
Becoming a Mother is the most important moment of a woman’s life because she has also been born. It is my job as your Doula to nurture her just as much as the new baby and family.
When we honour this as traditions before us did, we can eradicate much of the perinatal mental health we see all around us as well.
After birth we all need to understand that we hold the mother’s first. This is why I became a doula as I strongly believe in “Mothering the Mother” first! Often second or third time parents wish they had this support first. I am always called back to support after the first baby, as each baby is different and you always need some support. I strongly believe you definitely need a village to hold you and you must learn to invest in this.

We strongly recommend Zarina as a Doula for parents who are new to parenting and need that extra guidance and help on what to do for their child. Zarina gave us specific advice on:
- Efficient breast feeding
- Nappy changes and skin hygeine
- Optimising sleeping patterns
and plenty other small but very useful tips on baby and parent care!

Zarina has been brilliant for us and our baby. She came to us when he was 6 weeks old and she helped me with breastfeeding, settling, burping and also just helped me feel more at ease as a mother when I felt frazzled! I felt very safe leaving the baby with her and she’s always prompt, organised, warm and friendly. She’s helped give me confidence in moving forward as a mum.

Many thanks for your kind words Rachel.
Watching Billy grow from 6 weeks to 6 months has been amazing ❤️
Zarina has been my daughter's nanny for a year now. When we first met her it was clear that she was the best person we could ask for: amazing experience both, professionaly and personaly (she is a mum of 5 herself!).
My daughter was not used to stay with other people as we are from abroad and with all the Pandemic she did not socialised much, but she has a connection with Zarina since the very first moment - I could not believe how happy she was without us around her.
She also knows all the parks and playgroups so they will be at a different one every day, making her routine very dinamic.
A lovely, reliable and responsible person to take care of your kids without a doubt!
