About Me
Hi, my name is Shekinah and I am a wife and mother of a 1yo baby boy. I am also a qualified primary school teacher with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Early Childhood studies & a postgraduate certificate in Education. I have worked in education for 10 years and have just ended my maternity leave, but I am not yet ready to go back into the classroom - I am willing to assist with private tutoring, drop offs and pick-ups.
My Experience
I have worked in the education field for 10 years. This includes the role of class teacher in mainstream school settings, private tutoring, 1-1 SEN support, and working in nursery and reception. I have devised IEP, have experience in identifying gaps in pupils learning and providing adequate support for pupils progress. I have a great amount of experience in teaching phonics and assisting with SATs preparation. I am enthusiastic about working with children and families, contributing towards supporting your child's education whilst caring for their wellbeing.
My Qualifications
PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status w Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood studies.
My Availability
I am flexible and able to work Monday to Friday. Saturday Morning

Shekinah is an amazing teacher!! She is ever the professional, very approachable and knows exactly what she is doing. She tailors the lessons according to my two young boys' strengths and weaknesses, making each lesson productive and efficient.
I cannot emphasize enough how friendly and supportive, as well as a great communicator to parents, I highly recommend Shekinah as a tutor.

Shekinah is tutoring my 5 year old and doing an excellent job. She is kind, caring, patient and professional. She gets my daughter engaged and enjoying the learning. She is easily able to identify what the needs are and adapt to the child. After only 3 sessions my daughter has shown progress and looks forward to the next lesson.
I highly recommend Shekinah, and can say with confidence you won’t be disappointed with her.
