Welcome to Little Funky Monkey Childminding ?

Hello, my name is Gerry and I’m an Ofsted-registered childminder, based on Blenheim Avenue. Ofsted rate GOOD

I live with my partner, our 5-year-old son Conor and my 16-year-old daughter. Conor has recently started Reception at Balfour Infant School, and I’m delighted to offer school runs from Balfour Infant School.

We are also a pet-loving family! We have Chris, our friendly Yorkshire Terrier, who has always been around children, and our cat Micky. ??

My experience

I have been a childminder since 2019, previously running a large and successful childminding setting in Orpington, London, where I worked alongside an assistant.

After several years of childminding, I decided to take a little break to enjoy time with my own children while they were young. Now my children are growing up, I’m very excited to be getting back to what I love and opening my doors to local families from around the end of October 2026.

I’m a warm, friendly and jolly person who genuinely loves being around children. I’m fascinated by child development and strongly believe that children learn best when they are happy, engaged and having fun.

My aim is to provide a caring, happy and stimulating home-from-home environment, where children feel safe, valued and confident to explore.

I offer a wide range of fun and interactive experiences designed to support children’s individual interests, development and learning. I believe every child is unique, and I will provide opportunities that allow children of all backgrounds and abilities to learn and develop at their own pace.

? Outdoor adventures

I’m very outdoorsy and love exploring the local area. We will spend plenty of time outside, discovering nature, visiting local parks and enjoying adventures and experiences within the community.

I want children to have the opportunity to get messy, investigate, explore, ask questions and, most importantly, have fun!

I believe that parents know their children best, so I place great importance on building strong and positive relationships with families.

I look forward to working together with parents as a team, sharing your child’s experiences and progress and ensuring they feel happy, settled and supported.
