I am an energetic, welcoming and warm person who adores her career in childcare and has done for the last 8 years. I love working with young children and watching them grow and thrive while in my care. I am currently studying Early Years Education and I am dedicated to continuing my training and personal development. I am looking for a new full time role with a family who will also support my desire to learn and grow as an outstanding home child carer and educator.

I have been surrounded by children all my life and enjoy making them feel secure and comfortable so they have the ability to be their best.
I am also very musical, I enjoy taking children to music classes as I feel like it develops their confidence, coordination, attention span and listening skills. This is just one of many examples of how I like to help children learn but also making the activities fun.
My Experience
I previously worked in a nursery with children from 5 months - 5 years old and was working there for a year when I was 16 years old.
This role included; nappies, entertaining the children, teaching phonics and reading.
I also was a previous nanny for a child that I had been looking after since he was 11 months and is now 5. He now goes to a full time private school. This role included; providing healthy meals, nappy changing and potty training, organising play dates, out door activities and day outs (museum, farms etc) and teaching phonics.
Unfortunately he has now started nursery so I am looking for another nanny job close by.
I have been looking after and providing for children as a role as their nanny for numerous of families. I have looked after children from 4 months - 6 years old. This included helping potty train, helping children take their first steps and say first words and helping children to get into a structured and healthy routine.
I have experience with newborn children, children with special needs and children of same ages at the same time.
I recently worked as a manager in a holiday camp, specialising in 1:1 with SEN children. I also planned sports days, football matches, quiz’s and other fun games for children of all age groups!

Tierney worked for us for roughly around six weeks, and during this time, our old nanny was helping in ensuring the transition went well. Our family always ensured that whoever took over from our nanny was well trained in my daughter's needs as she has additional requirements. The transition was completed, and it was her time to take solo charge after six weeks of handover (on/off). That date was Monday, 31st of January 2022. We expected her to come into our house to look after our daughter at 2 pm. We were excited since we felt we'd done enough transition time between the old nanny and Tierney. Unfortunately, we received some devastating news that she could no longer come in as she had some family matters. She had become the carer for her nan that she only found out 2 hours before working with us. As you can imagine, it was very devastating, as working parents rely on the help that we employ and understand that family first. We take pride in ensuring that any nanny that comes and works for us feels at home and part of our small family. We wish her the best in looking after her nan. But I do hope if she does decide to work for another family, in the near future that she ensure that she provides these families more than 2 hours notice to quit.
