My Experience

Hello! My name is Katie, and I’m a qualified Art and Design teacher with a specialism in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Alongside teaching full-time, I am available during the summer holidays for weddings, events, holiday childcare, and extra support around the home.

Before becoming a full-time teacher, I worked professionally as a nanny for several years, gaining extensive hands-on experience caring for babies, children, and young people from 4 months to 18 years old.

I have over 9 years of childcare experience both in the UK and internationally. I have worked with high-net-worth families in the French Alps, America, London, and the Lake District, providing professional, nurturing, and adaptable childcare in a variety of settings.

I hold a degree in Childhood Psychology and a PGCE in Art and Design. I am also first aid trained, DBS checked, and have completed several childcare and baby-focused vocational training courses.

Creativity is a huge part of who I am, and I love incorporating arts, crafts, and imaginative play into my childcare approach.

My previous childcare responsibilities have included:

* Tummy time and developmental play
* Nursery and school drop-offs/pick-ups
* Homework support and tutoring

* Organising playdates and activities
* Supporting hobbies and outdoor adventures

I love spending time outdoors with children, whether that’s exploring nature, gardening, or encouraging active and creative play. I am a very active person myself. I regularly run, attend a variety of sports classes, and am currently training for a marathon.

I take a holistic and nurturing approach to childcare while always ensuring clear and consistent communication with parents, so children experience continuity, routine, and stability whilst in my care. I am punctual, reliable, calm under pressure, and appreciate the importance of creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment for every child.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £25.00 per hour (net)
