About Me
30yr old, Greek Cypriot born and raised in london, located in Enfield. I've worked with children for 8 years now - I began as an early years teachers assistant and now tutoring children/teens with SEND. In between this time, I have gained a vast amount of experience: Managing an after school club at a public school, TA at a private school, supporting children with SEMH, Nanny in the UK and abroad. Children aged between 3-13.
I run a part-time vegan cake business from home and absolutely enjoy incorporating this in my work with kids: Baking days, biscuit decorating classes etc. This is definitely something we could do regularly. I'm also super creative and practical, so a family who loves a hands on, artistic approach would be a perfect match. The nature of my work gives me spare time in the days, which I am hoping to fill with a few hours of baby sitting, nannying or private tutoring.
I have a Photography Degree and an educational background of art and media. I would describe myself as an intuitive, open-minded and expressive person who loves inspiring and supporting children via all avenues. Whether that's creatively, spiritually, academically, personally or emotionally. I recently got back from travelling Asia and Australia and it was honestly the best experience of my life, it done wonders on building my character, emotional strength and independance!
A few things I enjoy doing in my spare time: Baking, yoga, boxing, walks in nature, travel. I'm 100% a family person and have strong values.
My Experience
Currently tutoring and supporting a 10yr old boy, non-verbal at a venue in Barnet from Monday-Wednesday 9am-12.30pm. I've been tutoring with a company called ASEND for nearly 2 years now, including a few online classes here and there. I also have experience tutoring and looking after children with SEN -specifically, Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyspraxia. SEMH, non-verbal and LAC.
A year experience nannying for a family in Hertfordshire with a 4yr old girl. And some nanny experience in Canberra (Australia) last year - We took the Steiner approach for her 2 yr old girl (It is a great way of education, definitely look into it if this is news to you).
5 years of full-time work in public & private schools (TA, 1:1 support for SEND, after-school club manager, playworker, etc)
