About Me
I am a mother of 2, living with my husband. Our adult children live away, but are frequent visitors. We live in a spacious home, with a large child friendly garden . My ethos is to provide a home from home environment, filled with love, laughter, and a wide range of experiences. I endorse the curiosity approach ensuring children have ample opportunities to reach their potential. I enjoy walking with the children in our local community as we discover, together, the wonders of the world. Building a strong relationship with a child's parents is important to me as this ensures you and your child feel safe and comfortable in my care.
We have a Cockapoo, named Scout, who is very friendly. We also have 7 chickens, the children love to eat their eggs and bake cakes.
My Experience
I have worked with children for 40yrs, in a range of settings. As a respite nursery nurse, family worker, nanny, and as a childminder for the last 14yrs. I ensure I keep abreast of the latest training.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Advanced Nursery Nurse,
Diploma in working with families with young children.
I hold an up to date first aid and safeguarding qualification.
I attend regular childminding training to ensure I am up to date with the requirements of early years.

My Availability
I work Monday till Wednesday 7am till 6pm.

My little boy started off as quite cautious going to Lisa’s, as he is always nervous of new people. However soon enough he was trotting in happily, saying hello to scout the dog and excited to play in the garden or go and see the chickens. He grew in confidence, physical stamina (lots of walking!) and personal skills. Zips, buttons, opening his own crisp packets, road safety, “Lisa taught me how” became something I started to hear a lot! He adored baking with Lisa and still talks about it nearly a year since leaving for school. There were plenty of opportunities for him to get out in the woods and explore, and one of his favourite things, going to play groups in the church and the old peoples homes to see the “grannies and grandpas” Lisa’s home is a warm and happy place, and I believe she was a big part in not only preparation for school, but in the lovely little boy he is today. Thank you Lisa. We miss you!

My sons been attending Lisa’s setting for over 3 years now. Since starting there he's become more confident, outgoing and absolutely loves the time he spends with her. He'll even ask to go there when she's closed he loves it there so much!
The service Lisa provides is simply amazing, there's regular trips out at toddler groups, forest walks, the beach, you name it they go there.
Lisa also plans lots of activities which are not only lots of fun but also designed to really help our son thrive with his development.
I would happily recommend Lisa to anyone wanting a safe, fun and nurturing environment for their child to be happy and wonderfully cared for.
She's simply the best 👌

My son has been going to Lisa for nearly two years! He has the most amazing time and has gained so much confidence in many areas. Lisa and family have been so welcoming, and have taught my son so many new things. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all you do, we would be truly lost without you xx
